Next Sunday,May 10th, the Mainstream Pollution podcast will air a special mix featuring breakcore tracks from Break The Core, blended with music inspired by Arabic influences.

It brings together a wide spectrum of underground electronic sounds, ranging from experimental club music and industrial textures to breakcore, IDM, and global fusion influences.
A strong foundation of the selection lies in artists who reinterpret or integrate Middle Eastern musical traditions into contemporary electronic contexts. Omar Souleyman (Syria) transforms traditional dabke into high-energy electronic performance, while Hello Psychaleppo (Syria) and 47Soul (Palestine) blend regional folk elements with modern club structures and politically conscious themes.
Azam Ali (Iran/USA) adds a more atmospheric and spiritual dimension rooted in Persian and Middle Eastern vocal traditions. Meanwhile, Acid Arab (France) and Taxi Kebab (Belgium) extend these influences into European club culture, creating hybrid forms shaped by diaspora and cross-cultural exchange.
In a more internet-driven and contemporary beat context, Zwirek (Poland) incorporates Arabic-inspired melodic elements into trap and minimal club production, reflecting the global circulation of regional sounds through online music culture.
A darker experimental thread runs through the mix with Muslimgauze (United Kingdom), whose politically charged output heavily references Middle Eastern themes, and Demdike Stare (United Kingdom), known for occult-inspired dub and industrial atmospheres.
Kid 606 (Venezuela / USA) brings a chaotic, glitch-driven energy, while Use Knife (Belgium / Iraq) adds a politically engaged industrial techno layer rooted in spoken word and protest culture.
A central axis of the podcast is the underground Gabber,Breakcore and many more obscure Core related genres linked to the label Gabbaret Records (Netherlands) and its Break The Core compilations.
Artists such as MIKE5000, Ketumatek, Popinski, Meensken, and TuneFreak operate within a raw, DIY-driven scene defined by extreme tempos, distorted kicks, and internet-native aesthetics with a joined passion for Breakcore.
This same compilation series also features DaNoiseMan with some great Jungle and Breakcore tunes and the Industrial noise from Turmoil Rising from Belgium, reinforcing the collaborative and network-based nature of the project.
King Cog (USA) plays a key role within this ecosystem, contributing both as an artist and through mastering work, while aliases such as Misanthrope reflect the fluid identity culture of the scene.
