Today is finally the day for the mother of all parties, Thunderdome. A party that means a lot to me. I grew up with it as a little boy and collected the CDs and flyers in the beginning, and now I collect almost everything related to it. From music to merchandise.

The party where I met my great love, .visschers.dehaudt A few years ago, I was able to perform on the main stage in front of the stage as an extra with CO2
cannons and torches. That was a very special experience.

A year and a half ago, Tania and I got married in Thunderdome style, and to complete the circle, I was able to DJ at Thunderdome myself two years ago.

And last year in Antwerp, I was also able to DJ at the afterparty at the Thunderdome hotel alongside

As a Thunderdome enthusiast and hardcore DJ, it was my ultimate dream to perform there, and I am still grateful and proud today that that dream came true.

Today, we are returning to the festival as visitors, and I am delighted to see all my friends and family again ❤️

On 2nd Christmas Day, I will be playing a set on Rararadio. This will also be my last booking of the year.

It will be a wonderful and enjoyable afternoon.

Finally, it’s time to digitize some vinyl records again. I would like to have Evolution Gold, Evolution Records, and Twisted vinyl completely digitized. So, I’ll be busy for a while 🙏🏼

So many great releases have come out on these labels, and I love this UK Early Hardcore style ❤️

This was In Sound We Unite. Unfortunately, it was the very last hardcore party at Club Rodenburg, as this legendary venue is closing its doors for good.

But the organizers put on an amazing final party.
Hats off to .wav and for bringing together all the underground organizations from the scene and making it an unforgettable evening.

That was evident in every aspect. Great sound in all areas, nothing but good sets, and nothing but fun on the dance floor and backstage. One big family, just as it should be.

I love these moments. And thank you for the last-minute booking so I could be part of it.

Behind the decks at Save The Vinyl. What an amazing party this was. An early hardcore party as it should be. Underground location, vinyl only, nothing but great sets and a vibe that took you back to the 90s.

I love these kinds of parties and am glad I was able to contribute as an artist by playing a set 😎

This was our last time at Club Rodenburg 😢

We got to experience so many great parties as visitors and especially as artists. Last night, I got to DJ in the upstairs room at In Sound We Unite. That means I’ve now played in all areas at least once 😁

And what an amazing final edition this was. It was so much fun hanging out with the crowd and the artists, and it was such a great concept that all the early organizations from our wonderful scene worked together to make it an unforgettable evening ❤️

Picked out some records for this weekend. First stop this afternoon is at my buddy Sketler’s place to record a vinyl mix for his YouTube channel.

And tonight, on to one of the last parties at Club Rodenburg In Sound We Unite, where all the early hardcore organizations from our scene have organized a big party
to go out with a bang. I’ll be spinning in area 3 upstairs from 3:00 to 4:00 a.m. Expect the unexpected 😏😎🤌🏼💪🏼

DJ Graat (Gerard Visschers)

The name came from the very first party, when the record was playing named: Chosen Few – Name of the DJ.

Everybody shouted “DJ GRAAT “ And the legendary name was immediately chosen not by the Chosen Few but by the audience!

DJ Graat is consistent with his love for music all of his life. He is been involved in music as long as he can remember and especially his love for Hardcore!

When DJ Graat was a child he would put cassette tapes together from his Father with all of his favorite music, the radio played everything he liked and so his love for recording and mixing had been born.

In high school it really started to kick of when he knew he would be a DJ for life for the hardcore scene! He met someone who had more experience and the chemistry began, they soon became best friends with the same passion for Hardcore� After he visited for the first time the house of his new best friend he was totally sold to all the gear and equipment that was over there. It was a dream to work with all of this equipment.

The time had arrived that he could afford his own DJ set, through a friend of his he could procure a set for a good valued price and the marriage between DJ Graat and vinyl had been fulfilled! After purchasing 2 brand new Technics SL 1200’s the love for the hardcore scene only grew stronger and stronger.

The styles of music where the heart of DJ Graat belongs are Oldschool & Millenium but his absolute favourite will always be and remain Early Hardcore!
