It's about relational presence. Aware in a state of receptivity to another or the circumstances without agenda or effort. Awareness is ever there. It need not be realized. Open the shutter of the mind, and it will be flooded with light! The relational photographer is always present as the absence in the image.

Ochtendkoelte aan de Dinkel

In de ochtendkoelte
ademt het land zichzelf wakker.
Zonnestralen dalen door de bomen,
langzaam, alsof ze aarzelen
om de heilige rust te verstoren
van water dat nog droomt.

De Dinkel glijdt fluisterend voort,
een zilveren draad
door het greune tapijt
van het Lutterzand.
Het licht raakt het water
zoals een herinnering
een hart kan raken
teder, onverwacht,
zonder iets te vragen.

Een ijsvogel slaat zijn vleugels uit,
de lucht rimpelt,
en even lijkt alles
één enkel gebaar van leven.

De ochtend opent zich,
en wie daar staat,
stil genoeg om te zien,
wordt opgenomen
in het zachte evenwicht
van licht, koelte
en stromend tijdloos water.

De natuur ademt
een vogel tilt de stilte op,
blaadjes ritselen als gebeden
zonder woorden, zonder doel.

De zon wast het licht in het water,
elke rimpel glimlacht terug.
Geen haast, geen stem die dringt
alleen adem, beweging, zijn.

In dit ogenblik
is alles voltooid:
de wind kent geen verleden,
de bloem geen verlangen.

Zo eenvoudig,
zo waar
de natuur glimlacht
in het gezicht van wie niets meer zoekt.
