Vimbulnatt — Der dunklen Tugenden. Echos Vinyl Has Landed
The pressings finally made it to our compound. The red/black smoke 12" of Vimbulnatt — Der dunklen Tugenden. Echos are boxed and ready to be shoved into vinyl shippers.
This weekend we pack preorders. Monday morning the shipments begin. The preorder discount on the webshop will be lifted, if you locked a price, you kept it; from now on the preorder price is over.
The first 12 shipments get a signed card.
About Vimbulnatt and the album
Vimbulnatt is a cold, deliberate force from the German underground, a project that channels northern bleakness through taut, melodic black metal and a voice that sits somewhere between bark and lament. Their music is not decorative; it’s a slow, grinding weather system that leaves you colder.
Der dunklen Tugenden. Echos continues that path: austere riffing, mournful leads, and a production that keeps the edges raw while letting the melodies breathe. The record feels like a ritual recalled in fragments, moments of blunt force interrupted by passages of uncanny melancholy. It’s the kind of album that rewards attention and punishes casual listening.
This release follows the earlier Der dunklen Tugenden material, which laid the conceptual groundwork: themes of decay, duty, and the darker virtues. Echos expands those motifs, echoing the original’s intent while pushing the atmosphere into wider, colder spaces.
