shiftless – Other Side, part of Physis: Deuterion Stasimon, is yours.

Other Side brings .mp3 back to SubCulture with a playful exploration of new sounds. Stepping away from her UK-drenched drum and bass endeavours, the track moves into a world of grime, dubstep and bass the way they do it on the other side. Long in the making, legend has it there is another version that will only make its way to the dancefloors due to mysterious reasons. The final version still carries that same in your face energy however. This one definitely goes out to all the headbangers.

shiftless is the project of Zwolle-based DJ and producer Kayla Moulding. With family roots in the UK and a clear love for British bass culture, she first found her lane in dark, minimal and slightly melancholic drum and bass. Before that, she spent years messing around with house and techno, bringing a refreshing sense of patience, space and movement into the way she builds a soundscape. Through Latent Space / Calling, Strange Signals and her self-released Vindication EP, shiftless has slowly built a world of deep basses, strange textures and ideas that reveal themselves when they feel like it. In her own words, she mostly just makes sounds in Ableton that she thinks are cool until a track appears. We can only hope she never stops doing so.

Prodace – Stay Away, part of Physis: Deuterion Stasimon, is yours.

Stay Away is the solo submission by .music, and it found its place on Physis naturally. An interplay between higher and lower frequencies seems to mirror the energy shifts throughout this emotionally loaded track, while warm and fuzzy bass design takes the forefront. It is a strong example of Prodace’s musical reach: detailed, moving and full of feeling, but still grounded in the pressure and groove that make it hit. Absolutely a prelude to more.

Prodace is a DJ and producer based in Leiden, moving across the full spectrum of drum & bass. His sound ranges from warm, jazzy liquid to deeper, jungle-influenced tracks, always with a strong sense of atmosphere and detail. Active in the scene for years, he has played both underground events and larger venues. Driven by a genuine love for the culture, his focus stays on the raw energy and authenticity that define drum & bass.

Kallah – Iniquity, part of Physis: Deuterion Stasimon, is yours.

Iniquity is a heavy word before the track even starts. Wickedness, injustice, something morally rotten. Kallah takes that idea and does not try to make it pretty. Instead, he turns it into a pressing trap anthem full of outward energy, soundtracking the latest work from the promising young producer. Not every track needs to comfort you. Some tracks are there to stare back.

Kallah explores the darkest corners of the mind. Born from fractured identity, inner war and unbound darkness, his sound feels like the inner antagonist given form. That part of yourself you maybe do not want to look at for too long, but also cannot fully ignore. With Iniquity, that world fits right into the darker side of SubCulture: tense, heavy, uncomfortable in the right way, and made for the kind of rooms where the shadows do half the work.

Spadez – No Way Out, part of Physis: Deuterion Stasimon, is yours.

No Way Out shows a more melodic and calmer side of spadez, gently pulling at the emotional part of the brain from start to finish. Led through a dreamlike state by warm, full-bodied sound design, the track contrasts that softness with his signature percussion underneath. It all comes together around an ethereal vocal sample, making No Way Out a strong example of how to cherry-pick elements from different scenes and styles, and still make them land as one clear sound. For us, this is exactly why Physis exists: as a platform for exploration and expression, not confined by images artists are expected to live up to.

After collaborating with Formula in the past and dropping multiple hard-hitting jump-up tracks, the Leeuwarder producer shows another side of his sound here. Spadez is known for UK-influenced tunes that drop hard and slap even harder, but No Way Out proves that restraint, melody and emotion can hit just as strongly when handled with intent. Moving between deep drum and bass, jump up and rollers, his sound carries a broad mix of influences while keeping the focus where it belongs: bass, movement and impact.

Trippin goes deep into the tunnel, standing as one of the darker and more immersive moments on Physis: Deuterion Stasimon. Heavy bass weight, hypnotic rhythms and atmospheric pressure come together in a track that slowly bends the space around it without overcrowding the mix. Dark, immersive and fully locked into its own strange motion, Trippin shows a more shadowy and hypnotic side of Sublumen’s sound.

RESi – Interloper, part of Physis: Deuterion Stasimon, is yours.

Interloper has been in the works for a while, and you can hear that patience in the way the track moves. Techy, layered and dense, it feels like something slipping into the room before anyone can fully understand what it is. Dark pressure, shadowy movement and outsider energy come together in a track that is strange, controlled and full of detail, adding one of the more mysterious moments to Physis: Deuterion Stasimon.

Coming up in the city of legends, .music takes great inspiration from those who came before while shaping something clearly his own. Standing on the shoulders of giants makes for a great view, and from his own cloud, RESi creates a world of sounds with a clear artistic vision. This city does not stop giving, and we cannot wait to follow the journey.

Oneiroi & Prodace – Don’t Give Up, part of Physis: Deuterion Stasimon, is yours.
music and .music link up on Don’t Give Up, their first collaboration and a track built around liquid depth, old-school energy and modern bass design. A heavy bass guitar, punchy drums and a slightly spooky atmosphere set the tone, giving the track a driving but soulful weight. Already played out at Liquicity and Cheeky Monday, this one carries both pressure and warmth.

Oneiroi is an Amsterdam-based DJ and producer specialising in drum and bass and jungle, known for versatile, high-energy sets and funky, sample-based selections with a raw edge. Prodace is a Leiden-based DJ and producer moving across the full spectrum of drum and bass, from warm, jazzy liquid to deeper, jungle-influenced cuts. Together, they bring a shared love for atmosphere, groove and underground drum and bass culture into Physis: Deuterion Stasimon.

Massive Crew brings Brolan DJ | Producer back to the SubCulture catalogue with a compact and direct solo cut built around movement, weight and club pressure. The track rolls forward without overcomplicating the idea, keeping the low end close to the floor and pushing with the kind of direct energy its title suggests.

Brolan is a Dutch producer and DJ moving through house, UK garage, jungle and bass-driven club music. His sound fits naturally between UK-flavoured bass pressure, garage swing and the broader drum and bass orbit of SubCulture. Zuverah – Cold, part of Physis: Deuterion Stasimon, is yours.

Cold marks the return of ZUVERAH to the SubCulture universe, with a track that fully lives up to its name. Icy atmospheres, clinical low-end pressure and stripped-back movement come together in a way that feels sharp, tense and deeply locked in. It does not rush to make its point, but slowly tightens its grip through focus, restraint and a colder kind of weight.

Zuverah is a Groningen-based drum and bass artist, DJ and producer who has been active in music for more than seven years. Moving from minimal drum and bass into darker, sharper-edged neurofunk territory, his sound has become a familiar presence around SubCulture through tracks like Seraph, Chrono and now Cold. His contribution brings a clinical but deeply atmospheric edge to Physis: Deuterion Stasimon.

EM@IL – Come Down, part of Physis: Deuterion Stasimon, is yours.

Come Down marks the return of Emiel / EM@IL to the SubCulture catalogue, after previously appearing on Physis: Proton Stasimon with Another Day. The track moves through rolling, deep and minimal drum and bass territory, carrying enough weight for the system while keeping a colder, more reflective atmosphere at its core. It feels like the moment after the chaos, when the pressure starts to fade but the afterglow is still hanging in the air.

EM@IL is an Amersfoort-based artist mainly focused on everything around 160–175 bpm. With a growing focus on jungle and previous drum and bass releases on labels such as Four Corners and Motive Audio, his sound is stripped-back, functional and atmospheric without losing feeling. On Come Down, that balance lands in a track that is direct without becoming obvious, and emotional without standing still.
