Slowly but surely is The Spirit of Turtle building momentum in the High Street Studio Heerewaarden.

Just a few more days and the address, officially encompassing Hogestraat 20, 22 & 24, is our home and the days in the old studio and our dear family home are definitive in the past!

A mixture of feelings…nostalgia, sadness, happiness, fear and thrilling excitement trade places all day long.

35 years of growing and building, now left behind in only a few months to be replaced by a long lived dream. An in house recording-& concert venue!

As if being re-born!
The turtles are exploring their new environment and securing the way for what’s to come. At turtle speed, but promising a long life and great determination.

The first CD production is a fact and many more will follow as will there be regular concerts and other cultural activities.

Visite beim CEO von Ultrasone

Wenn einer weiß, wie Musik eigentlich klingen sollte, dann Michael Willberg, CEO von Ultrasone, einem der führenden Kopfhörer-Hersteller weltweit. Als er las, wie Master Fidelity mit NADAC C und D die digitale Musikwiedergabe neu definiert, war die Neugier geweckt – und die Messlatte entsprechend hoch.
Also wurde nicht lange gefackelt: Lieblings-Tracks auflegen, allen voran „Bohemian Rhapsody“ von Queen, Willbergs persönlicher Dauerbrenner im Langzeit-Test. Und was dann passierte, ließ ihn nicht kalt: Er hörte nicht nur jedes Detail, jede verschachtelte Studioebene, jede feinste Nuance der Stimmen – es war die zeitrichtige Selbstverständlichkeit, mit der sich die Musik entfaltete, die ihn sichtbar in Bann zog. Keine technische Anstrengung, kein „audiophiler Kraftakt“, sondern ein geradezu müheloses Entfalten der Musik in Raum und Zeit.
Man konnte es sehen: Ein Mann, der schon alles gehört hat, war beeindruckt. Begeistert davon, dass hier nicht einfach ein neues Gerät spielt, sondern dass ein ganzes Konzept die Regeln verschiebt – und aus digitaler Reproduktion musikalische Realität macht.

Kurz reingeschneit, lange nachgewirkt.

Markus Wittenmeier – eines der Urgesteine der deutschen High‑End‑Szene – kam „auf einen Sprung“ vorbei. Als früherer Repräsentant für Wadia und Audio Research beim damaligen Vertrieb WBS (Werner Barden Services) bringt er einen reichhaltigen Fundus an Hörerfahrungen mit. Umso mehr Gewicht hat sein Urteil nach unserer gemeinsamen Session mit NADAC D und NADAC C:

High Street Studio in Heerewaarden the Netherlands opens its doors for musicians, recordings, concerts, retreats and all that brings people in the arts together.

A truly inspiring place with enchanting quiet properties, glorious light and wonderful acoustics to work creatively.

For the time being bookings can be made by pm @ [email protected], but later in the season there will be online options for hiring the studio hall and ticket sales.

The very first recording project in the High Street Studio of The Spirit of Turtle in Heerewaarden, Holland is a fact.

In collaboration with Bösendorfer Klavierfabrik and Audys panels from Italy, a concept album called "Encores" by Dora Deliyska from Vienna was recorded in our new Music Temple.

The results from this maiden project exceed all expectations! Unbelievably enchanting stillness and a beautiful environment and acoustics that suited the instrument perfectly and inspired the artist to great heights in performance.

The church hall proves to be the most versatile recording studio and can host a wide range of ensembles with musical genres ranging from early Renaissance to contemporary Jazz. With flexible acoustic adaptations it transforms like a chameleon.

Soon this venue will be filled with the Worlds Finest Musicians, facilitating the Ultimate Recording esthetics to create the Best Union of Sound & Performance.

But most of all it will be a meeting place for all that value culture and quality that brings people together.
