The hybrid powertrain is made up of a new turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol engine with electrical assistance, mated to a six-speed automatic. It’s good for 178bhp and 265Nm of torque, allowing for a 9.5-second 0-62mph time and 118mph top speed.

New Koenigsegg Gemera
The Gemera was first revealed with Koenigsegg’s in-house plug-in hybrid powertrain, which has a combined output of 1,400bhp and 1,850Nm of torque. The system comprises a twin-turbocharged 2.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine mounted in the middle of the car and a 16.6kWh battery pack and three electric motors – one for each rear wheel, and one for the front axle.

New AIM EV Sport 01 supercar
A 81kWh battery sends power to two electric motors mounted on the rear axle. AIM says there’s over 600bhp and up to 740Nm of torque available. The EV Sport 01 is also pretty compact (much smaller than a BMW M2, for example) given the power on offer and for a full-EV the 1,425kg kerb weight is relatively light.
