I use 2 types of AD/DA converters. Sometimes you want it to be as clean as possible, sometimes you want the masters to have more balls and power. I use both flavours depending in the situation. I can AB between both by the push of a button on my .audio IC2.1.

Some people find me nerdy and i'm proud of that. 🤓 What you see right here is a screenshot from one of the energy pages I made in home assistant, my fully automated system to control our full home. This is Solar power combined with the (soon to be expanded even more) battery system. This image shows that i'm using 10 watts netto power but seconds later that could be 0 or - 8 watt. It constantly monitors and shifts power to where it needs to go or come from to keep it as close to 0 as possible.

This is early morning, battery down to 10% and solarpower just 840 watt (sun was just up) and the remaining power to get to 'zero on meter' comes from the battery which is 116 watt which it can do for another 4h and 15 minutes. But that's not needed since right now the solarpower is enough to power everything while charging the battery system to 100% again when the sun goes down. Eco friendly mastering? You got it!

I have this waveulator thingy racked up and in use for some time now and I still love it. What it is and what it does? That's just for me to really know. There is only one of exactly this unit in the world.

For those sending files using . Please stop doing that!! ❗. They have now come up with a new way of 'making money' by making you watch commercials for at least 1 minute (mostly longer) before the download link to appear. Even if (like me) you are a paying customer, you have to wait for that time to pass by when you receive something which was not send using your own Channel. I already cancelled my subscription (since 2012) and testing alternatives now.

Summed up. Please stop using or use my Channel (for the time being) or use any other service.

Just installed this ortofon 2m to my turntable. Another nice addition next to the other cartridges I use for playback reference. A pretty nice sounding cartridge at a reasonable price. Bought this yesterday at in Utrecht yesterday when taking a day off.

Mastering is about adding that last subtle touch. No big steps, small changes make all the difference. Besides that, mastering is not just about 'masterbus processing'. It's about making your music stand out in both sound as in technical things by making the right decissions and it's a real, ready master with the right loudnes, metadata embedded, starts and ends exactly like they should be, the right file types and ofcourse, clear and friendly communication.
