‘Letter To Yu’ is a love letter to Bolis Pupul’s late mother Yu Wei Wun, who passed away in 2008. In the wake of his mother’s passing, Bolis began to come to terms with his heritage and his Chinese roots. The result is this beautiful piece of art, ‘Letter To Yu’, out today.

Bolis Pupul shares his new single ‘Ma Tau Wai Road’ from his debut album ‘Letter To Yu’ today. ‘Letter To Yu’ is a love letter to Bolis’ late mother Yu Wei Wun, who passed away in 2008. In the wake of his mother’s passing, Bolis began to come to terms with his heritage and his Chinese roots. ‘Ma Tau Wai Road’ is a song about gratitude and regret and was written just around the corner of his mother’s birthplace in Hong Kong. It’s a masterful blend of silky smooth grooves and surreal techno pop, with the beautiful vocals of Bolis’ sister Salah. ‘Letter To Yu’ is out on March 8th via DEEWEE.
