And on the submission number 659 clock rang midnight... 7 tracks are missed to the most famous dark number :)
What can we say?
Wow, just wow, super-WOW!
We even didn't expect that the contest will get such big attention and resonance!
We are amazed by the quality, diversity and creativity of the tracks!
So now we are thinking seriously about the opening of SOMA records net-label.
33 hours of music we have gotten already :)
Also, we got so many love from SOMA users and followers and made sure that SOMA is a commune of awesome people!
HUGE thanx for all participants!
Now the jury will start their hard work and sort out these treasures.
Keep watching updates!
SOMA team
EDIT 28.06.2020 - please ONLY organic likes, hearts etc...buying likes is prohibited and will result in disqualification...
EDIT 27.06.2020 - you have still today and tomorrow till midnight for the contest! All songs added after midnight don't take a part in the contest and will be deleted! (sorry for this)
EDIT 23.06.2020 - if under the songs you see "like" from SOMA Laboratory, they are given to all participants without exceptions, this is not a suggestion for the jury or for you or contest administrator's preferences :)
EDIT 19.06.2020 - to great people who vote giving "likes":
please DON'T comment on the songs in any way, just give "like"...
It really introduces chaos to the competition and we have to check all songs every day and delete comments under them ...
EDIT 13.06.2020 - one participant may add one song (until now there was no situation that one of the participants added more than 1 song, but we are starting to get more and more similar questions. No, one good song is enough! :))
EDIT 11.06.2020 please no comments without songs - please see edit below!
thank you!
EDIT!!!!! 09.06.2020 IMPORTANT!!!!

THE CONTEST:
Dear SOMA People,
It’s time for Contest Episode 4!
Our previous contests generated massive interest – we understood these competitions bring great pleasure to many people during this challenging time of confinement as so many of you got involved and submitted such great ideas.
So, in the hope that the world will open up again soon, we have timed the end of this contest to coincide (hopefully) with the easing of lockdown restrictions wherever you are.
Let's return to the world together!
Rules:
Contest jury (each jury member has 3 votes): Richard Devine, Paul Nagle, Loopop, Dot Major, Vlad Kreimer, Grzegorz Lacek.
You are also part of jury - the track that receives the most votes will be given one vote in the contest and the possibility of making a real impact on its results! 4 songs with the highest number of votes will win!
Duration: the competition starts today and ends midnight CET on the 28st June 2020.
Results will be announced during the week following the competition.
Main prizes:
1. Pulsar-23, 2. Lyra-8, 3. The Pipe, 4. Lyra8-FX
Additional prizes may be awarded at the discretion of jury members without loss of vote: 10 x Ethers
Contest rules:
You must create a track, using these samples:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TMl-iECgYfG_a3BOuzkED6ChK42feTlV/view?usp=sharing
How many samples you use is up to you, but the samples provided (or sounds derived from them) must be not less than 50% of the sound of the final track.
You can apply any processing and editing to the samples, including the use of samplers. Additionally, you can use any acoustic or electro-acoustic instruments, including voice with or without lyrics.
However, the use of additional electronic (analogue or digital) instruments (synthesizers, drum machines etc.) is prohibited. You may use SOMA Laboratory instruments (and are encouraged to do so!), but their use will not be specially rewarded. :)
The maximum length of your track is 3 minutes. There is no minimum length.
Please add the link to the song in the comments beneath this
competition post.
Musicality and creativity are the decisive factors in the jury's vote!
Warning!
Buying votes/likes is prohibited and will result in disqualification.
Keep it fun, please!
The contest rules may change if necessary.
The committee's decision is final and there will be no appeals or other claims on SOMA Laboratory.
By participating in this contest, you agree to these rules and to the use and promotion of your songs by SOMA Laboratory.
Take care, stay safe – and good luck!
Grzegorz Lacek, Head of SOMA EU
