Countdown!
In addition to shows in the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and Germany, we are incredibly proud to announce that on Monday, November 17, we will be performing two concerts at the beautiful State Opera of Prague! Performing our version of The Wall on this particular date and in such a unique venue, a place deeply intertwined with a rich heritage of freedom, resistance, and the search for identity, marks a symbolic highlight in 20 years of Pink Floyd Project.
Why? For that, we need to go back in time for a moment: on November 9, 1989, the Berlin Wall fell, and on November 17, the Velvet Revolution began in Prague. Both events signaled the end of the communist era in Eastern Europe. Since then, November 17 has been a national holiday in the Czech Republic.
Every Pink Floyd fan will also remember Roger Waters' concert at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. The Wall is a powerful musical expression of resistance against oppression. Around the time of the Velvet Revolution, it gained an even deeper meaning for many Czechs: a metaphor for liberation, just like their revolution peacefully ended communism.
Sametovรก revoluce - den boje za svobodu a demokracii!
