The second up coming re release from The Sweet - LIVE AT THE MARQUEE (out on 10 October)‘Live At The Marquee’ was recorded at London's Marquee Club in February 1986, shortly before the legendary venue closed its doors for good. The SWEET line-up at the time consisted of original members Andy Scott (lead guitar) and Mick Tucker (drums) as well as Paul Mario Day (ex-Iron Maiden) as lead singer, bassist Mal McNulty (Slade) and Phil Lanzon (Uriah Heep) on keyboards. At this concert, the band presented a heavier sound without losing the energy and appeal of the classic hits and anthems.

‘Live At The Marquee’ is a rare gem in SWEET's catalogue and is now being re-released on CD and Vinyl.

SWEET once again presents fans with two re-releases of rare and sought-after albums on Metalville the first will be SWEETLIFE (out on 12 September)

With ‘Sweetlife’ in 2002, SWEET returned to its old form with the line-up of Andy Scott, Steve Grant, Jeff Brown and Bruce Bisland. The album offers eleven outstanding AOR songs. Highlights include ‘Do It All Over Again’, ‘You're Crazy’ and ‘Leap Of Faith’.
Long out of print and sought after by many fans, the album is finally back in stores on CD and vinyl.

BEFORE THE DAWN - drop behind-the-scenes Sing‑Through video for “Stellar Effect”

Finnish melodic death metal masters BEFORE THE DAWN have just released a special Sing-Through video for their latest single "Stellar Effect", taken from the upcoming album Cold Flare Eternal, out September 5th, 2025 via Reaper Entertainment. Watch the full Sing-Through video here:

In the video, vocalist Paavo Laapotti delivers a powerful full performance of the track, showcasing the full range of his exceptional voice and emotional intensity.
Laapotti rose to public attention during the 2022 season of The Voice of Finland, where he performed the classic BEFORE THE DAWN song “Deadsong” in the finale. That performance made a huge impression on the band’s mastermind Tuomas Saukkonen, who was inspired to revive the band after several years of silence — this time with Paavo as the new frontman.

PURPENDICULAR feat. IAN PAICE release new studio album "Banned" on October 10th on Metalville

In the hot summer of 2024, the band decided to write their fourth album in a remote village high in the mountains near Porto, Portugal.
The concept was agreed on the first night but that concept took a twist when the devastating fires took place that very evening, putting the lives of the band in grave danger.
The band were rescued off the mountain from their villa, too a safer option and to an alternative accommodation where they spent the night watching the fires rage on the veranda.
It was here titles and more ideas came to fruition, to add to the already conceptual theme of BANNED which summarises todays sensitive culture, in that the slightest wrong word can get you banned, adding the pun Banned with last two letters before the last D in the word being crossed out equaling the word BAND.
With all this in mind and the whole band in agreement, it was then decided to add an autobiographical theme also, telling the story of events as they unfolded that treacherous night where many people lost their lives and homes.
The final recordings of the album were completed in Italy, Poland and UK. The record is produced by Alessandro Debiaggi and Robby Thomas Walsh. It is a fresh modern look back at the 70s! It is advised to play this Record very loud!
