CIRKUS PRÜTZ announce a change of singer – the new man on the mic is Nicolas Vowden

Earlier this year, Christan Carlsson announced that he wanted to step off the blues rock cirkus to focus on other things in life and his other band "The Quill" who just released a new album.

Jerry Prütz comments:
"No drama, no disagreement, no fights led to this decision, instead we are grateful for all the albums, gigs and everything else we have achieved during the time Christan Carlsson has been a part of "Cirkus Prütz" and we wish him luck in the future and with whateverhe takes on. When one door closes, another one opens and we say welcome to Nicolas Vowden as our new singer and harmonica player. Give him love and a warm welcome and a loud HELL YEAH!!!"

Nicolas is the older brother of Chris Vowden, who is the guitarist in the Swedish metal band "Corroded", and that's how they got together.

Nicolas says: "It feels almost surreal and very special to be a part of "Cirkus Prütz" today, a band that I actually saw play live in Stockholm in May 2022. My brother Chris wanted me to go with him, our third brother Oliver and a close friend to the gig. In the middle of the concert, Chris leaned towards me and said: "Damn, this is exactly the kind of band you should sing in. This type of music suits you like a glove." He just captured my own thoughts at the same time.

It makes it all both very funny and quite ironic that now, four years later, I actually get to sing in "Cirkus Prütz" — a band that I already thought that night was so damn good and that felt completely right for me."

ERADICATOR release the new single "Ruins Of Rome

"ERADICATOR “Ruins Of Rome”: Thrash Metal with a sense of history

ERADICATOR channel the spirit of the thrash pioneers while taking a clear stance in the present. Without losing themselves in nostalgia, Seba, Robb, Zoppe and Pitti drive their sound forward as a tightly bound unit. With “Ruins Of Rome,” the new single, set for digital release via METALVILLE on May 29, the band makes a strong statement for the future of the genre.

Six studio albums, one live record and more than 250 shows ranging from underground clubs to festival stages have shaped the band’s distinctive style, rooted in Teutonic thrash and sharpened by Bay Area intensity. The next chapter is already being written: recording for album number seven is scheduled for fall 2026, with a release to follow in 2027.

“Ruins Of Rome” does not use the fall of the Roman Empire as mere historical backdrop, but as a reflection of modern developments. From the very first lines, Seba paints a bleak picture: “Centuries ago so proud, now Future’s light expired.” The message becomes even clearer: “History repeats itself if lessons won’t be learned.”
Yet, Seba, who composed and wrote the song, explains: “Sure, our themes are often socially critical and dark – but anyone who knows us knows there’s always a certain tongue-in-cheek element to it. It could all turn out very differently.” The track itself shows less mercy: the humor lingers only as a bitter aftertaste – and how it all ends? No spoiler!

Musically, ERADICATOR showcase not only their trademarks but also a refined sense of dynamics: razor-sharp riffs, memorable hooks and aggressive vocals collide with death-infused blast beats, growls and shifting tempos. Massive mid-tempo sections add a threatening, pounding atmosphere in dark harmony with the theme. For fans of Death Angel, Destruction, Exodus and Kreator: a blend of Bay Area force and Teutonic sharpness – both sonically and in attitude.

That studio work tells only half the story is proven by the band’s live track record in recent years: appearances at Burning Q Festival (with Angelus Apatrida and Evil Invaders), No Playback Festival (with Crisix and Riot City), Mise Open Air (with Onslaught and Crypta), and Mosh im Mai alongside Bonded, as well as Green Hell Festival, Masters of Cassel, Helmfest (with Firewind) and Rock & Metal Day’z – including a support slot for Night Demon.

“Ruins Of Rome” was produced by Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann (Orden Ogan, Asphyx) together with Seba Stöber. Mixing and mastering were handled by Jörn Michutta, known in the scene for his work with Morgoth. The cover artwork by Bianca Stöber features the “Plaguebringer,” the harbinger of doom and the band’s mascot, standing among the ruins of Rome.

Pitti sums up the band’s mission: “Our mission is to keep thrash metal from fading into retirement and to carry forward the legacy of our heroes.” For years, ERADICATOR have made it clear that a new generation is ready to carry the story of thrash metal forward – and “Ruins Of Rome” is the opening strike of this new chapter.

BLOOD WHITE signs with Metalville – the new studio album ‘From Hell’ is due for release on 28 August

There are countless young bands that are still searching for their own individual musical identity and a breakthrough image based on their own visionary concept. And then there’s BLOOD WHITE, a band that has already found all these factors. Although the five-piece band has only been together since 2022, their sound is incredibly mature, creative and unique. BLOOD WHITE have developed a refined, distinctive mix of modern metal, rock and hardcore which leaves a lasting impression. Added to that, the band’s incredible stage outfits, highlighted through their glaring red and white ‘corporate identity’, sets the quintet apart from the genre’s standard dull, black style which so many of their contemporaries seem to favour. But most importantly, their debut album, "From Hell", presents music of a standard rarely found in newcomer acts.

The songs mix raw metal riffs and brutal grooves with catchy choruses which enables listeners who are less into the metal-genre immediate access to their exciting, hellraising music. Listen to tracks such as “All I Said Was A Lie”‚ “Bloodified”, “I Smell Blood” or “From Hell” and watch the videos of “Run Or Die” and “Guns & Fear” which all show BLOOD WHITE’s extensive range of stylistic potential and musical influences. At the same time, the album also provides a number of surprises.

Practically out of nowhere (or rather, out of darkest hell), singer Dr. Zero projects a deep sense of melancholy, grief and anger on “Before I Die”, deliberately leaving a number of questions unanswered. Dr. Zero: “The song says something about me, and its metaphors express precisely what I want to share with our audience. It’s about love, about its dependence on your own emotions and on what constitutes the bleakness of grief. Thoughts of having nothing left but a refuge, albeit one that makes you slide even deeper into the abyss than you already have.”
“From Hell” and “Fear” strike a similar lyrical note and present demonic verbal exchanges on God and the world, preachers, monsters and demons, as well as the eternal horror of war and devastation leading, ultimately, to the destruction of one’s own soul. Dr. Zero added: “Most of our songs are about the chasms of the human mind, its capacity for absolute evil, a contradiction to love and compassion. This contraction also resonates in the name “Blood White”, red being a symbol of blood, but also of love, and white stands for innocence and eternity evoking that glistening, bright light that people who have experienced ‘being clinically dead’ talk about.”

The appraisal above says it all! BLOOD WHITE hold everything in their own hands, it’s all there to be seen and heard: the music, the videos, the album sleeve, the photos - the entire band and its image!
BLOOD WHITE are fulfilling the promise of an even more spectacular (metal) future!

LION’S SHARE have released the new video for “We Are What We Are”, celebrating the song’s milestone of over 1 million Spotify streams

Swedish heavy metal veterans LION’S SHARE are celebrating the success of their comeback album “Inferno” with the release of a brand-new video for “We Are What We Are”.
Having now surpassed the 1 million mark on Spotify, the track has become one of the standout songs on “Inferno” and proves that classic heavy metal still holds a strong place in today’s scene.
Vocalist Nils Patrik Johansson explains the message behind “We Are What We Are”:
“The lyrics are basically about ignoring all the politics and bu****it around us and just doing our own thing. We simply live and breathe heavy metal. It’s a tribute to ourselves, our lifestyle, and all the hardcore heavy metal fans out there.”
The video was shot in an abandoned industrial wasteland and directed once again by Tom Wouda, who was also responsible for the band’s successful “Pentagram” video.
Guitarist Lars Chriss comments:
“Funny enough, part of the ruin we filmed in actually collapsed not long afterwards. We still don’t know if it was the riffs or all the flames we unleashed during the shoot.”
“Inferno”, released in March this year via Metalville, was LION’S SHARE’s first studio album in 17 years and has been widely hailed as one of the strongest in the band’s career – it combines the darkness, melody and power of classic heavy metal with a modern, edgy production.

BLUTGOTT releases the new single "Legacy Of The Bloodking" (Debauchery version)

The new DEBAUCHERY single from the BLUTGOTT Metal Universe. Recorded by Dennis Ward (Unisonic, Helloween, Krokus).
Brutal dark fantasy metal about the Blood God hordes of Balgeroth. The legions of the Blood Gods march into battle against the armies of the human Imperium.
The song takes you on a journey into the dark underworld of the band’s own Blood God universe. Musically, it moves somewhere between melodic death metal, classic heavy metal, and death metal, with plenty of groove and a catchy chorus.
The new BLUTGOTT/DEBAUCHERY album is coming on October 30th 2026 as a 2CD digipak (Debauchery & Balgeroth versions), Balgeroth LP, and Debauchery LP.
It is the 20th DEBAUCHERY album. In total, the BLUTGOTT Metal Universe comprises over 40 CDs.

THE BLUTGOTT METAL UNIVERSE
DEBAUCHERY Death Metal - BLOOD GOD Heavy Metal - BALGEROTH German Metal
Dark Fantasy Metal. There is no political or socio-critical message.
It's not a band, it's a universe. An extraordinary concept that goes far beyond music: the BLUTGOTT metal universe, consisting of the metal monsters Debauchery, Blood God, and Balgeroth.
For over 20 years, it has combined brutal metal and dark fantasy, with over 20 albums and more than 40 CDs. It is a unique world, the World of Blood Gods – populated by demonic vampire dragons, humans, elves, and dwarves. It has its own miniatures, its own tabletop wargame, art books, and more.
The new album “Death of the Bloodking” is the first part of the trilogy: “The Battle for Knochenheim”. It will be released on October 30, 2026 as a 2CD digipack, accompanied by 10 digital singles and videos.
The cataclysmic final battle between Balgeroth, the Bloodking of Knochenheim, and Luziferon, the most powerful of all demon overlords of Hell. A war whose flames engulf hundreds of thousands of worlds – from Eden to the world of the Nazarene himself.
In the War of Balgeroth, the fascist Imperium of mankind is destroyed. Asgard falls, the godly realms of Valhalla are desecrated and ravaged in apocalyptic battles. But the greatest and most cruel battle of all time rages around Knochenheim. The fortress metropolis on the largest stable route from Hell to Eden.Knochenheim – a monument of horror, the dragon fortress, an unshakeable bulwark of the Blood Gods against the eternal hordes of damnation. There, the demon hordes of Luziferon meet the legions of the Trinity of Blood Gods.

13/05/2026

KÄRBHOLZ will release ‘Dämmerlicht’ on 15 May, the first lead single from their upcoming new studio album ‘Sturm Zieh Auf’, which is due out on 18 September via Metalville. Pre-orders for the album also open this Friday.
Do I have to bow to conventional norms? Do I have to give up my individuality and my nature in order to fit into a mould that others have declared to be the norm? “Dämmerlicht” explores these questions and concludes that saying no to them brings with it at least two consequences: a great deal of resistance, but also the chance for personal fulfilment and making peace with expectations of us that cannot be met, and ultimately the realisation… that we are enough.

STURM ZIEH AUF
…When the storm shatters the silence…
Three years have passed since the double release of ‘Kapitel 10: Wilde Augen’ and ‘Kapitel 11: Barrikaden’. Three years in which the world did not stand still and the band used the time to brew up a whirlwind that is now breaking loose with full force: ‘Sturm zieh auf’.
An atmospheric exchange of energy A storm is more than just wind. It is a raw, uncontrollable force. It brings destruction, yes – but it creates the space that is so desperately needed for something new. It is the atmospheric exchange of energy that sweeps away the old to make room for change. On their new album, KÄRBHOLZ set this very moment of transformation to music.
With 13 tracks brimming with passion and emotion, the band captures the full spectrum of a storm: from the oppressive ‘calm before the storm’ through fear and unease to the boundless freedom that emerges when the pressure eases.
Authentic, edgy, uncompromising “Sturm zieh auf” pays no heed to conventions or compatibility. The album draws on the harder elements of the band’s history and creates a self-contained universe that does not seek to please at any cost – and perhaps touches the listener so deeply precisely for that reason. It is a work for those who are prepared to question their listening habits.
•No whining, no finger-pointing: KÄRBHOLZ do not blame external circumstances.
•Focus on the self: It’s about the power of the individual to rise above the status quo.
•Unbridled positivity: Amidst the chaos, the band finds happiness in the small, essential things in life.
The ‘why’ determines the ‘how’ In the spirit of Nietzsche, the album conveys a clear message: ‘If I know a why, I can bear almost any how.’ “Sturm zieh auf” is the soundtrack for this journey. It is the musical manifestation of resilience – an invitation to face the storm, to enjoy it, and to emerge from it stronger.
KÄRBHOLZ are back. Louder, harder and more reflective than ever before.

SWEET "The Answer" will be released on July 10th at Metalville
Originally released in 1992 under the title ‘A’, a version of the original album expanded to include various bonus tracks, entitled ‘The Answer’, was released three years later.
Andy Scott once again succeeded in putting together a top-class line-up, consisting of Mal McNulty (Slade), Bodo Schopf (Eloy/MSG), Jeff Brown (Wildfire) and Steve Mann (MSG/Lionheart).
With ‘The Answer’, Sweet managed to reinvent themselves without losing sight of their roots. The songs feature timeless hard rock with metal influences, yet always remain unmistakably Sweet.
The album is regarded as a genuine, long-overlooked gem in the band’s discography. Having been available only to collectors for years, ‘The Answer’ is now finally back in stock on CD and vinyl for all fans of this British glam and hard rock legend.
