Study association Itiwana Itiwana is the study association of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology at the Universit Wij zijn de link tussen het instituut en de studenten.

Itiwana is de studievereniging van Culturele Antropologie en Ontwikkelingssociologie van de Universiteit Leiden. Wij behartigen de belangen van onze leden onder andere door het verkopen van studieboeken, uitgeven van tijdschriften en organiseren van studiegerelateerde activiteiten. Onze commissies organiseren lezingen, congressen en een studiereis. Bovendien zijn er regelmatig feesten en borrels.

Niet-leden zijn bij ons van harte welkom op de activiteiten.

Itiwana is the study-association of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology at Leiden University. We are the link between the Institute and the students. We represent the interests of our members by selling study related textbooks, publishing magazine, organising study-related activities and much more. Our commissions organise lectures, seminars and a study trip. We also organise regular parties and (social) get-togethers. Non-members are welcome to join these activities or drop by for more information.

We started with a 3 AM train and somehow still had energy to hike through Škocjan caves and wander around Piran the same day. Explored salt flats, climbed castle hills, got lost in public transport, swam in Lake Bled, and had some pretty memorable late nights (shoutout to Captain’s Cabin). 🩵

From cave systems and hilltop churches to museum visits and a lecture on childhood memories in agriculture — it was a mix of nature, culture, and just the right amount of chaos.
Big thanks to everyone who made it what it was. 🇸🇮🤞
