Just under a week before we kick off our workshop program at the FASHIONCLASH Pop-up Atelier in Centre Céramique! We invite you to jointly work on upcycled outfits & textile objects for the performance ‘Mensen dragen Mensen’ as part of the ‘Ommegangen’ (Procession) for Heiligdomsvaart 2025 (Pilgrimage of the Relics).

We are looking back on a great Museumnacht Maastricht last Friday at Centre Céramique! Visitors could get a first sneak peek of our workshop program, starting next week, in our Pop-up Atelier, and enjoy an amazing fashion performance of Yorvique Macaay – also known as Dictator of Art – and his muses.

Curious about our workshop program? We are looking for 100 people, models, performers - anyone who would like to join the project 'Mensen dragen Mensen' (People carry People), a living artwork as part of the (Processions) of Heiligdomsvaart Maastricht.

You can join by yourself, with your community, a group of friends, etc.

Are you curious? Join the kick-off/ audition on Thursday 17 April, 18:00 – 21:00 at Harmoniezaal Maastricht.

In 2024, Pablo Salvador Willemars, Klaar Straatman and Lianca van der Merwe joined the Fashion Film Bootcamp, not knowing that a few months later their short fashion film ‘m i k’ would premiere during FASHIONCLASH Festival 2024.

The film they developed draws inspiration from ‘Ik Mik Loreland’, an educational television program that aired in 1994 in the Netherlands, created to support initial reading and spelling for children. Like the series, the film ‘m i k’ explores the essence of communication, yet in a more abstract and visual form. For the trailer and credits of the film, the group collaborated with children to create sock puppets and the written design features.

Are you interested to learn more about film making, gain inspiration from collaborating with makers from various disciplines, and get the opportunity to actually co-create a short fashion film? This is your chance! There are still a few spots left for this year’s Fashion Film Bootcamp on Tuesday 8 April in Maastricht.

Meet us at Museumnacht Maastricht! Together with our partner Centre Céramique, we host 2 activities on Friday evening 11 April 2025:

▪️ In the run-up to Heiligdomsvaart 2025, we open a Pop-up Atelier in Centre Céramique hosting various creative workshops. During Museumnacht Maastricht, you can get a sneak peek of the workshop program and participate in a workshop in which you will help make large flags, made from discarded textiles. The flags will be part of the ‘Ommegangen’ (Processions) of Heiligdomsvaart in June 2025.

We will announce the full workshop program for the Pop-up Atelier next week!

▪️ ‘MUSES’ is an expressive fashion performance that redefines fashion. Yorvique Macaay – also known as ‘Dictator of Art’ – is a multidisciplinary artist from Willemstad, Curaçao, and a student at the Maastricht Institute of Performative Arts. With ‘MUSES,’ he invites you to become the muse of your own life.

📢 FASHIONCLASH is looking for 100 people to join Heiligdomsvaart Maastricht!

We are pleased to announce FASHIONCLASH's participation in Heiligdomsvaart 2025, one of the oldest religious traditions in the Netherlands. In collaboration with theatre maker Noah Janssen, we've developed 'Mensen dragen Mensen’ (People Carry People), a contemporary approach to this centuries-old tradition.

We are looking for 100 people who would like to join the ‘Ommegangen’ (Processions) on Sunday 15 June & 22 June 2025. People of all ages, from various backgrounds and physical conditions are welcome to join. No experience with art or theatre is needed!

On Thursday evening 17 April, we kick off the project. It would be great to see you there!

tb FASHIONCLASH short film Aspire in collaboration with Strictua. One of the first fashion films produced by FASHIONCLASH.

The film was partly shot in 't Sphinxkwartier in 2013 (when there was no new neighborhood yet) and when the Enci Groeve was not yet open to the public.

The cast features the now world famous top model Kiki Willems, who is originally from Maastricht and who started modeling at FASHIONCLASH.
