Inside these walls, history runs deep.

This was the domain of a notorious family — a lineage of diplomats, stewards, archdeacons, and royal envoys 👑📜.
One of them, Philibert, rose to the courts of Charles IX, served as ambassador to Mary Stuart (Queen of Scotland), and played a role in the turbulent Wars of Religion that shaped France 🐎☦️⚔️

Yet in time, the château fell silent… 🌬️

Fidel and José Luis built their careers in the projection rooms and box offices of a local cinema they ran together. But as we step through the quiet rooms of their former estate, we begin to understand how everything changed:

📜 and finally… a State Bulletin from 1980 exposing the truth.

In this new episode of Abandoned Spain – Season 2, we explore one of the country’s most iconic lost places — Tívoli World, the once-vibrant amusement park of the Costa del Sol. 🇪🇸✨

Built in 1972 by a Danish visionary and inspired by Copenhagen’s Tivoli Gardens, the park became a symbol of joy for generations of families. But over time, debts, disputes, and finally the 2020 pandemic brought everything to a halt.

When we visited over four years ago, the park was already silent — its rides frozen, its theatre empty, and its colours fading beneath the Andalusian sun. Yet even then, former workers still watched over it, determined not to let it disappear.

Now, years later, hope returns. A new plan has been approved for a €200 million renovation, set to bring back its lights, music, and life once more. 🌅

Inside, every room felt like a time capsule: clothing still hanging in closets, family portraits coloring the walls, and furniture waiting as if the family would return any moment. Yet the presence of weapons left untouched for decades made this explore unlike any other. 😮✨

Cachée au fond de la campagne espagnole se trouve le manoir abandonné d'un commandant de l'armée de l'air : une résidence où l'histoire, le pouvoir et le silence se heurtent. 🪖

Le dernier résident était Don José, commandant de l'armée de l'air espagnole pendant l'ère franco et par la suite. En 1975, les dossiers officiels le placent devant un tribunal militaire chargé de façonner l'avenir des nouveaux officiers. Son nom apparaît toujours sur les diplômes accrochés à ces murs. Mais au-delà de la trace écrite, on ne sait presque rien de plus sur cet homme à ce jour.

À l'intérieur, on découvre :
🎖️ Diplômes, souvenirs d'aviation et modèles d'avion exposés
🎹 Un piano droit allemand, parfaitement conservé
🛏️ Lits à quatre affiches, icônes religieuses & effets personnels
🕯️ Lustres ornés, porcelaine & meubles anciens
📜 Une signature royale du roi d'Espagne, toujours visible

Ce manoir raconte non seulement l'histoire d'un homme, mais aussi les ombres restantes d'une dictature, d'un héritage militaire et d'une vie qui s'est tranquillement glissée dans l'abandon ⏳

Inside, we uncovered breathtaking artistry: walls and ceilings covered with paintings and frescoes, angelic figures gazing down from above, and aristocratic bedrooms designed like intimate stages. This palacio, once home to a powerful family of faith and wealth, is a silent monument to grandeur today.

Hidden in a small Spanish town lies a building where time has been standing still for over 40 years: a centuries-old botica, a traditional pharmacy. 🏛️🇪🇸

Built in 1690, this grand house belonged to Don Juan, whose apothecaries earned prestige far beyond the region. For over two centuries, people traveled here to buy their remedies, potions, and cures. When the last pharmacist passed away in the 1980s, the doors were closed — and everything inside was left behind.

Today, shelves still hold jars of medicine, hand-labeled bottles, and ledgers from another age. Upstairs, the living quarters remain just as the family left them: bedrooms with antique furniture, kitchens stocked with utensils, and portraits gazing out from peeling wallpaper.

Inside, we uncover:
💊 Original cabinets stacked with medicines from the 18th–20th century
📜 Handwritten notebooks, medical agendas, and a pharmacist’s diploma from the 1800s
🛏️ Family bedrooms with personal belongings frozen in time
