July, 1972 saw the start of Paul's first (full-fledged) post-Beatles tour - it was called Wings Over Europe.
(The brief tour the band did earlier in the year was a series of unannounced "lunch time" dates at universities and colleges in the United Kingdom).
Songs recorded during the European tour were released in December, 2018 as part of a 3 LP Archive box that included "Wild Life", "Red Rose Speedway" and the brand new "Wings Over Europe".

12-12-12 Concert held at Madison Square Garden in New York City brought together a "who's who" of the top stars in the entertainment world.
Concert which began at 7:30 p.m., ended at 1:20 a.m. with most of the entertainers and "first responders" on stage singing along to Alicia Keys "Empire State of Mind".

This post is dedicated to each and every Paul McCartney fan...from the first generation "Beatle fans" to the youngsters that attend Paul's concerts to this day.
And in particular I'd like to point one out, "Mr. Fans On The Run" - Rick Glover, whose name is globally linked to the thousands of us who follow Paul when he tours all around the world!
It's so fun to hear Paul acknowledge them during the show when he changes the lyrics to his #1 hit (Band On The Run) to "Fans On The Run"!!

From May to July, 1991 Paul and his band played 6 concerts in Europe and the U.K. on his "Surprise Gigs" tour.

Paul's 1993 New World Tour (promoting his latest LP - "Off The Ground") began in Australia in March and concluded in December in South America... playing North America, Europe, Japan and Mexico in between.
It would sadly be Linda's final tour with the band.
