Despite delays due to school activities and suspensions, PASOA finally shared our welcome gift with First Year Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) students, which was originally scheduled for the month of September. Late but lovingly delivered.

A small but meaningful gift given to all first-year BSOA students. It is more than just a writing instrument. It is a symbol of your new beginning as a college student and the beginning of your adventure filled with discoveries, growth, and exploration. This pen represents more than just ink. It represents your goals and stories. We hope you will use it to write down your dreams or ambitions in life and the milestones you will achieve along the way.

In view of the reported cases of Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD) in several areas in Leyte, the following precautionary measures shall be strictly implemented effective 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱:

➡ All students, faculty, and staff are strongly encouraged to 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀 to minimize the risk of transmission.
➡ All students, faculty, and staff are required to carry their own bottles of 𝟳𝟬% 𝗿𝘂𝗯𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿 for regular hand sanitation.
➡ All offices are expected to maintain adequate supplies of rubbing alcohol, whether provided by the Supply Office or procured personally by office personnel.

Eastern Visayas State University–Tanauan Campus (EVSU-TC) celebrated Teachers’ Day yesterday with a program filled with gratitude and admiration, held at the EVSU-TC Multipurpose Hall.

The program was attended by all teachers, class officers, students, and organizational officers of various programs. The students gave simple but meaningful gifts such as flowers, chocolates, and heartfelt greetings to their teachers. The celebration featured dance and musical performances, messages of gratitude, and warm tributes emphasizing the important role educators play in shaping not only the minds but also the hearts and futures of students, and also the Campus Director Dr. Sheldon Ives G. Agaton delivered his special and inspiring message for all educators.

From the PASOA Family, we would like to greet a happy Teachers' Day to our beloved PASOA Adviser, Ma’am Marilou G. Perez, and to all the instructors of the BEM Department, happy happy Teachers' Day, ma'am & sir, especially to our beloved Department Head, Ma’am Renalyn Barbosa. Your unwavering guidance and support continue to inspire us to strive with courage and dedication, and to all the faculty and staff members of EVSU-TC, thank you for your endless commitment, patience, and love for teaching. You are the pillars of our institution, and your contributions are truly immeasurable. Today marks the exciting continuation of the 53rd founding anniversary celebration of EVSU – Tanauan Campus, highlighted by the vibrant Campus Organization Day. Led by the mother organization, SIFE, the event brought together the four dynamic organizations under the BEM Department—PASOA, JPIA, TAJMA, and JASPEN.

The program opened with a heartfelt welcome message from our BEM Department Head, Ma'am Renalyn O. Barbosa, which set the tone for an afternoon filled with enthusiasm and camaraderie. The event featured a series of engaging and diverse games that fostered laughter, teamwork, and friendly competition among the participants.This celebration not only honored the university’s legacy but also strengthened the bonds across organizations, promoting collaboration, inclusivity, and school spirit.

𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 | 𝐋𝐞𝐲𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐨. 𝟏 𝐃𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦 ‘𝐎𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐠’

As of Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration's (PAGASA) 11:00 AM bulletin, Severe Tropical Storm Opong (BUALOI) continues to move westward while affecting several parts of Luzon and Visayas, September 26.

Opong's storm center was last located over the coastal waters of Ferrol, Romblon, packing maximum sustained winds of 110 km/h near the center and gustiness reaching up to 150 km/h. It is moving westward at 35 km/h.

At least 36 areas across Luzon and Visayas are under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1, including Eastern Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Northern Samar, Biliran, Cebu, Negros Occidental, parts of Bohol, and portions of Luzon such as Zambales, Pampanga, Bulacan, and Quezon.

These areas are warned against strong winds ranging from 39 to 61 km/h, which may cause minimal to minor threats to life and property.

Residents in affected areas are advised to remain alert and continue monitoring official updates.

The next tropical cyclone bulletin will be issued at 2:00PM today.

In response to the advisory issued by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), and with Leyte Province now placed under Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1 due to Severe Tropical Storm Opong, all classes at all levels in the Municipality are suspended today, Thursday, September 25, 2025.

Local authorities are urging residents to remain alert and take necessary safety precautions as the storm continues to pose potential risks. An Executive Order formalizing the suspension and further guidelines is expected to be released shortly.
