LOOK: Reports say a Filipino father in Olongapo found the body of his 3-year-old son ONE DAY AFTER the toddler was swept away by floodwater that had viciously entered their home. The boy did not survive.

At least five more people died.

LOOK: A Canter delivery truck accidentally fell into the sea at Hilton Wharf in Barangay Punta Engaño, Lapu-Lapu City, at around 7 AM today after strong winds brought by the southwest monsoon (Habagat) caused the RORO vessel to sway violently while the truck was being prepared for loading going to Olango Island delivery.

The strong movement reportedly caused the rope securing the truck to snap, sending the canter into the water. The driver and his helper immediately jumped onto the RORO vessel to escape.

The helper, however, was reportedly struck by the rope as it snapped, causing an injury to his shoulder.

Rescue and recovery operations followed.

A nurse died after being crushed by a collapsed concrete waiting shed on Sierra Island, Barangay Canhawan Gote, Catbalogan City, on August 27, 2026.

The victim was identified as Kelvin Castro, a 35-year-old nurse from the Department of Health (DOH) assigned to the Catbalogan City Health Office.

He had just come from a vaccination activity and was resting in the waiting shed while waiting for a boat when the structure suddenly collapsed. His family is calling for an investigation into the condition and maintenance of the waiting shed to determine if there was negligence and to hold the responsible party accountable.

FILIPINO DOCTOR REPORTED MISSING AFTER FLASH FLOOD AT BORDER OF CHINA AND NEPAL

Uploader Chiara Manalo took to social media on Friday to appeal for help in locating her brother, Juan Carlos Manalo, a doctor who was reported missing following a catastrophic flash flood that hit a border area between China and Nepal on Wednesday evening.

According to Chiara, Juan Carlos was traveling with the Isha Sadghuru group as part of its Kailashyatra tour. The group’s last known location was at the Immigration Office in Gyirong.

"We humbly ask to include him in your prayers, that he may return to us safely soon. If you can connect us to any appropriate agency who may be able to coordinate with Nepal authorities and assist with the ongoing search operations, please reach out to us. Cullen's agent told TMZ that the actor died Wednesday at his home in Los Angeles.
