TUNGHAYAN: Matagumpay na inilunsad ng Innovus ang taunang Blood Donation Drive na may temang “Fueling a Future of Hope” kahapon, ika-21 ng Hulyo, sa tulong ng High School Community Extension Services (HS CES) at ang kanilang opisyal na kaagapay, Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Rizal Chapter.

Dinaluhan ng mga mag-aaral mula sa ika-10 baitang hanggang Senior High School, pati na rin ng mga magulang, kaguruan, at alumni, ang nasabing proyekto na isinagawa sa High School Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) upang makiisa sa pagpapahalaga sa makataong inisyatiba ng institusyon. Sa kabila ng suspensiyon ng klase bunsod ng malakas na habagat, hindi ito naging hadlang sa pagsisikap ng organisasyon na maipagpatuloy ang aktibidad at makakalap pa rin ng mga boluntaryong donor.

“Kahit nagkaroon ng suspensiyon, naniniwala akong naging matagumpay ang isinagawang bloodletting activity bunga ng pagtutulungan at dedikasyon ng lahat ng nakibahagi. Nakapanghihinayang na may ilang hindi na nakapag-donate, ngunit lubos ang aking pasasalamat sa lahat ng nagnanais lumahok sa makabuluhang adhikaing ito. Sigurado akong magkakaroon pa ng mas maraming pagkakataon para sa komunidad ng CSA sa susunod na taon,” ani Julia Abigail Pino, pangulo ng Innovus.

Sa pamamagitan ng blood donation drive, muling ipinamalas ng pamayanang Agustino ang pagpapatuloy sa adhikain para sa mapanagutang paglilingkod tangan ang pag-asa.

LOOK: With over 100 applicants in total, Insights-Salik’s skills test took place this July 16-17, with some sections requiring an online submission.

For those applying to the writing sections (News, Features, Science, Sports) and the photojournalism sections of the organization, a face-to-face skills test was administered after school hours.

The skills tests are unique for every division, challenging students to accomplish the specialized tasks in a timely manner while maintaining the quality of their output.

These assessments serve as the final step for potential staffers, providing the section editors insights into how each student composes their pieces.

The results for each applicant will be sent on July 20.

LOOK: World-renowned Augustinian athlete Alex Eala pays a personal visit to her alma mater, Colegio San Agustin – Makati.

Earlier today, Eala shared a warm moment with the High School Principal, Fr. Julian C. Mazana, OSA, and was graciously welcomed by the Augustinian community, including her former teachers and administrators.

She also visited the 56th Foundation Day Exhibit, where she signed her photo displayed in the newly blessed Augustinian Student Excellence section—an initiative celebrating notable alumni achievements through the years.

Eala now sets her sights on continuing her historic campaign in the US Open following her stellar performance in the first half of the year.

LOOK: Ahead of the upcoming Blood Donation Drive 2025, the officers of Innovus, the STEM strand organization of Colegio San Agustin – Makati, visited various school offices to promote participation in the event and raise awareness about the value of blood donation.

During their rounds, the Innovus team discussed the benefits of donating blood, such as improved circulation and red blood cell production, and provided information on the eligibility criteria for prospective donors. This initiative is part of their ongoing effort to engage the CSA community in meaningful and life-saving service.

In support of these efforts, Marcus Buena, a donor from last year’s drive, shared his personal experience with the Grade 10 batch, offering insights into the process and encouraging more students to take part in this year’s event.

The Blood Donation Drive 2025 will take place on July 21 (Monday) at the CSA High School Multipurpose Room. The activity is open to CSA students from Grades 10 to 12, as well as parents and alumni who meet the donation criteria.

The initiative is a collaborative effort between Innovus and the High School Community Extension Services (CES), with CES serving as the official coordinating partner with the Philippine Red Cross. CES prepared the project proposal, secured the venue, and is currently coordinating sponsorships to support the logistical needs of the event.

LOOK: In celebration of Colegio San Agustin-Makati’s 56th anniversary, the blessing of the Foundation Day Exhibit was held yesterday, July 9, at the High School Lobby, presided by Rev. Fr. Julian C. Mazana, OSA, together with the Augustinian Fathers.

The exhibit, a collaboration between the Supreme Student Council and the Values Education-Christian Living Education Area, features artworks from the Junior High School Department, a timeline of CSA’s history since 1969, original photos and documents from the school archives, and highlights of alumni achievements through the years.

The ceremony included a Gospel reading, a short message from Fr. Mazana, and a symbolic ribbon-cutting to mark the exhibit’s official opening.

Open until the end of the month, the Foundation Day Exhibit embodies CSA’s commitment to building up the City of God by honoring its legacy, celebrating holistic student formation, and inspiring a future guided by Augustinian values.

TUNGHAYAN: Malugod na ipinagdiwang ng Colegio San Agustin-Makati (CSA) kahapon, Hulyo 7, 2025, ang ika-56 na taon ng patuloy na paghubog sa mga Agustinong pinunong tagapaglingkod na may temang “Augustinian Pilgrims of Hope: 56 Years of Enriching Faith.”

Sinimulan ang pagdiriwang sa isang banal na misang pasasalamat, na sinundan ng opisyal na pagbabasbas ng mga bagong solar panel sa kampus kasama ang kumpanyang WEnergy Global. Sa pagsulong ng mapagkalingang tugon sa kalikasan ay sinabayan din ito ng pag-aabot ng tulong ng mga mag-aaral sa mga nangangailangan sa pamamagitan ng paghahandog ng mga canned goods.

Mula sa 620 mga mag-aaral noong 1969, hanggang sa libo-libong kabuoang hanay ng mga estudyante sa kasalukuyan, palatandaan sa ating kasaysayan ang paggunita ng araw na ito upang ipagpatuloy ang gampanin ng CSA sa paghubog ng kabataang Agustinong may pagpapahalaga sa katotohanan, pagkakaisa, at pagmamalasakit.

Ikinagagalak naming ipahayag ang pamatnugutan ng Salik, ang opisyal na pahayagang pangkampus sa Filipino ng Mataas na Paaralan ng Colegio San Agustin - Makati para sa taong panuruang 2025-2026.

LOOK: Anchored on the theme “Trailblaze: Charting New Paths Through Visionary Leadership” and inspired by the Disney film Up, this year’s Leadership Training Seminar (LTS) held last June 19-20 featured a variety of engaging activities aimed at empowering Augustinian student leaders.

Unlike previous editions, the 2025 LTS spanned two days and welcomed participants from both the High School and Grade School Student Councils. Attendees took part in team-building exercises and pitched project proposals designed to strengthen their respective organizations.

TUNGHAYAN: Idinaos kahapon, Hunyo 27, ang taunang Welcome Walk para sa mga mag-aaral ng Baitang 7 at 11 sa pangunguna ng Konseho ng Baitang 12.

Sinalubong nang mainit na pagtanggap ng pamayanang Agustino ang mga bagong kasapi ng Junior at Senior High School kung saan isinagawa ang iba’t ibang aktibidad na naglalayong maipakilala sa kanila ang kultura ng katotohanan, pagkakaisa, at pagmamahal.

Sa temang “From Small Planets to New Horizons” para sa Baitang 11 at “Remembering Our Roots, Walking Into the Future” para sa Baitang 7, puno ng galak, sigla, at kulay ang Bulwagang Santo Tomas de Villanova ng Colegio San Agustin-Makati (CSA) sa pamamagitan ng mga palaro, team cheering, at ang paglalaan ng panalangin para sa mga nasabing baitang.

Nagpabukod-tangi sa tradisyong ito ang pagbabago na, “sa halip na ang nakasanayang pagtanggap ng Baitang 10 sa Baitang 7 at ng Baitang 12 sa Baitang 11, ang Baitang 12 na lamang ang tumanggap sa parehong batch, bilang pagpapamalas na anoman ang agwat sa edad, laging maaasahan ng mga mas nakababatang baitang ang kanilang mga ate at kuya sa paglalakbay nila sa bagong yugto”, wika ni Winston Raphael Ginez, direktor ng proyekto at ingat-yaman ng Konseho ng Baitang 12.

Isa itong makasaysayang pagdiriwang ng pagtanggap—salamin ng pananampalataya, pagkakaisa, at ang walang patid na paglinang sa diwang Agustino.
