A truly proud moment for us! We’ve just signed the MOAs for the National Industry TVET Boards, bringing together leaders and movers from Fashion, Furniture, Health, Supply Chain & Logistics, and Last Mile Delivery.

Seeing everyone come together reminded me that our industries don’t just build products and services—they build lives and open doors of opportunity for countless Filipinos. As Sec. Kiko Benitez said, with the recognition of being part of the NITB comes an even greater responsibility: shaping the future of our workforce.

The NITB isn’t just about addressing today’s needs—it’s about planning for the dreams of the next five years and beyond. And with the dedication of our partners, I truly believe we’re on the right track.

Maraming salamat to our passionate industry champions: Philippine Fashion Coalition Carissa Evangelista, Kathâ Pilipinas Daianne Mempin, Fashion Institute of the Philippines - Ortigas Main Patrick Lazol, Pampanga Furniture Industries Foundation VP Celine Lucille Repato (with DOST - PTRI support through Director Julius L. Leano), Cebu Furniture Industries Foundation, Unilab Education, Inc. President Jose Maria Ochave, Supply Chain Management Association of the Philippines Executive Director Corazon Curay, and Private Express and Messengerial Association of the Philippines President Alma Rias (with support from DTI-SCLG Usec. Jean Pacheco).

Here’s to building a future-ready workforce, together.

A Milestone for Every Maker: D-Day of the PSF for Electronics Launch

Today, we celebrate not just a launch, but a promise to our workforce in the electronics industry.

The Philippine Skills Framework (PSF) is a game-changer for our technicians, assemblers, machine operators, quality inspectors, soldering experts, warehouse staff, and many more. It provides:

🔧 Clear career pathways and growth opportunities
📚 Access to upskilling and lifelong learning
🌍 Alignment with global industry standards
🚀 Empowerment for upward mobility and job security

This framework honors the hands that build the future, with knowledge, pride, and purpose.

But as I mentioned in my speech earlier, this is not just a framework in pen but a living initiative. Skills are the new currency of competitiveness. If we want Filipinos to thrive here and abroad, we must invest in the right skills, at the right time, for the right jobs.

This is for the people who keep the industry moving, with quiet strength, unwavering dedication, and unmatched galing.

Big thanks to SEIPI, DEPED, CHED, DTI-BOI, DOST, OSAPEIA, DTI-PTTC, Analog Devices, Creotec Phil. Inc., EMS Group of Companies, partner enterprises and Higher Education Institutions for joining us in this wondrous event.

Together, let’s power up the Philippines, one skilled worker at a time.

With 32 skill areas in 6 sectors, our competitors are leveling up to earn their place on the winners' podium.

Over 250 participants from the Tourism Sector joined our successful EBET Orientation! 🎉

This EBET orientation marks a huge success in the strong collaboration between the Department of Tourism (DOT) and TESDA as we work toward building a more future-ready workforce.

During the session, we answered various queries from enterprises about EBET, helping everyone understand how to maximize this valuable program.

But we’re not stopping there! We’re planning to expand the Industry TVET Boards (ITB) by creating one for every specific value chains. This means focused improvements in the work environment across the tourism sector, and opportunities for more enterprises to join. Together, we’ll elevate the industry to new heights!

A heartfelt gratitude to Undersecretary Rica C. Bueno the Department of Tourism for her unwavering support and leadership.
