Sigmond Publishing has since 1997 produced a number of books on the Battle of Arnhem and the Airborne Forces. We concentrate on relatively small print runs - usually around 1,000 copies and concentrate on unit histories written by ‘amateur professional’ authors. Perhaps uniquely for a military history book in the 21st Century any manuscript is checked by a team of enthusiasts who have high standar

ds before acceptance. It is therefore fair to say that our reputation for producing historically accurate and quality Arnhem books is second to none. The books (hardback) are printed on good quality paper and usually accompanied by a large number of photographs and maps. The following comments by Stone & Stone (stonebooks.com) about Arnhem Their Final Battle may be of interest; ‘Don’t go to R.N. Sigmond for books about anything else, but make them your first stop for their area of specialisation, the Battle of Arnhem in 1944. This small Netherlands-based publisher has already released several highly regarded English-language books about Market Garden, and this is another winner. Excellent material, accompanied by ample photos and maps, lives up to the high standards of R.N. Sigmond.’

Book signing event on Friday 20th September 2024 at Meijer & Siegers bookshop in Oosterbeek from 15.30 hrs until 18.00 hrs.

Whilst this is not a R.N. Sigmond Publishing work we are pleased to let know that one of its team members, Bob Gerritsen, has self-published the diary of Otto Paetsch, an interesting story titled ‘Otto Paetsch, From Wiking to Frundsberg’. Since 1997 Bob participated in all the books we produced and he was also the author of several of our titles. We congratulate him with this publication!

In 1944, part of a journal is left behind in a castle in ‘s Heerenberg in the Netherlands. The diary is that of Obersturmbannführer Otto Paetsch, commander of Panzer Regiment 10 of the Frundsberg Division. His entries begin in January 1944 and ends in September of that year.
Bob Gerritsen has elaborated these notes and added to where missing. Paetsch is involved with Wiking Division in the fighting in Ukraine and with the Frundsberg Division in Normandy and Arnhem. Extensive use has additionally been made of Otto Paetsch's personal file. The book contains 80 pages, 60 photos, documents and 3 maps.
