Phodocu is an independent publishing company based in The Netherlands with a main focus on military aviation.

Phodocu, which is an acronym for Photography and Documentation, specializes in air-to-air and action photography. We also write articles and reports or support others with photos and/or information. An overview of our work can be found on the Phodocu website.

CRUZEX2024 DAY 6:

The Chilean AIr Force is participating at Cruzex2024 with 5 F-16C/D and 1 KC-135E. This F-16C is taking off with in the background an Argentinian Air Force IA-63 Pampa and a US Air Force F-15C waiting to join the mission.

CRUZEX2024 DAY 5:

The Brazilian Air Force is the host of Cruzex at Natal AB. Next to the aircraft of the visiting countries the host nation is participating with the F-5EM/FM, F-39E Gripen and the A-1AM/BM. Here a A-1AM returns after a mission.

CRUZEX 2024 HAS STARTED!

On September 24th 2024, the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNlAF) accomodated a group of around 200, mostly local, aviation enthousiasts on Volkel AB to witness the end of an era in the Dutch skies. On September 27th 2024 the RNlAF will end its Lockheed Martin F-16 operations, after having received the first F-16B in 1979. The F-16s are currenly being replaced by the Lockheed Martin F-35A, which have taken over all tasks of the F-16 in the past years. The enthousiasts were treated with the take off and landing of 4 of the last operational F-16s and also a small line up which included F-16AM J-197 of 312sq (the final F-16 operator within the RNlAF) which has been given the last special painted tail commemorating the 45 years of F-16 service in The Netherlands. Very soon there will only be 3 countries left in the world operating the mighty F-4 phantom, which is loved by so many enthusiasts around the world for its beautiful lines. With the end of the F-4 use by the Republic of Korea Air Force in just a few weeks here a photo of one of their last F-4E's made early 2023. It is seen here returning to its home base of Suwon, South Korea carrying a dummy 'Popeye' missile.

In May 2023 Phodocu visited the only Armée de l'Air et de l'Espace dedicated air defence unit at Base aérienne 116 Luxeuil-Saint Sauveur. During this visit phodocu was shown the current activities and interviewed members of this unique community flying the Dassault Aviation Mirage "DASH 5'.
