As a graphic designer, I felt a strong desire to learn how to create seamless patterns in . I’ve always been drawn to beautiful fabrics and thoughtful designs — and I wanted to create them myself.
In 2020, I joined Surface Design Immersion with Bonnie Christine. In the middle of a strange year, it felt like coming home creatively. I discovered not only a new skill, but a direction that truly resonated with me. I also met my sweet designer friends in a peer group (and we’re still meeting online — something I deeply value 🤍).
Surface pattern design has become more than just something I love to do — it’s the work I want to grow into fully. It brings together everything that feels natural to me: storytelling, refined detail, intentional color palettes and rhythm — often inspired by the places I travel to around the world.
I never stopped creating, even while balancing other client work. But over time, it became clear where my heart (and focus) truly is. That’s why I signed up as an alumni for the upcoming Immersion course — to refine my craft, deepen my creative vision and build this path with intention. I can’t wait to experience those magical weeks again.
