🇵🇭 "One-time, big-time drug bust — a single operation that turned the tide and changed the lives of these seafarers forever, exposing their deep ties to an international drug smuggling syndicate.

🚨 FILIPINO SEAFARER JAILED IN IRELAND’S BIGGEST-EVER CO***NE HAUL 🚨

€157 MILLION STREET VALUE | 2.2 TONNES OF PURE CO***NE | 8 MEN JAILED

A Filipino seafarer is among the eight men sentenced to long years in prison after authorities stormed a Panamanian cargo ship carrying Ireland’s largest-ever co***ne shipment — a record-shattering 2.2 tonnes of pure co***ne with a street value of more than €157 million.

The vessel, MV Matthew, was intercepted off the Irish coast in a dramatic, military-style sea raid involving elite Irish Army Rangers and naval forces. Six of the men, including the Filipino crew member Harold Estoesta, were caught aboard the vessel.

Harold Estoesta, once a seafarer from the Philippines, now faces 18 years behind bars after pleading guilty to possession of co***ne for sale or supply.

They were promised a massive payday — up to €100,000 — if the mission succeeded. But instead of cash, they ended up in cuffs as they tried to torch crates of co***ne when they realized the Navy was closing in.

🔥 HIGH SEAS DRAMA

Armed commandos abseiled onto the moving ship under treacherous sea conditions. The crew made frantic moves to escape, but they were no match for the Navy and Defense Forces.

Authorities say the drug operation was linked to an international cartel with unlimited resources and global reach.

🛟🛟SURVIVORS OF ETERNITY C RESCUED🛟

Eight out of the 21 Filipino crew members of MV Eternity C were rescued on Thursday, after the bulk carrier was attacked by Houthi rebels in the Red Sea.

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) remains hopeful that the remaining 13 unidentified Filipino seafarers are alive and safe as rescue operations continue. This comes amid reports that at least three of the ship’s crew were killed, while others were abducted and are currently being held by the Islamist group aligned with Iran.

An additional three Filipino seafarers were later added to the list of survivors, according to an interview on dzBB Thursday afternoon. Although they spent more than 24 hours in the water, the DMW chief said they are in “good condition.”
“None of them suffered serious physical injuries or illnesses. But of course, it's safe to say that they may have experienced some physical stress from what they went through,” he added.

According to Cacdac, the rescued Filipinos are now headed to a safe location, which he did not disclose for security reasons.

“The Philippine government will do everything we can to provide them with the necessary assistance, starting with medical, physical, and mental health support,” he said.
Cacdac also said the DMW began personal visits to each Filipino crew member's family on Wednesday night, following President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s order to provide full support to each of them.
“We have assured them of the President’s directive to take care of them, and we will do everything we can to give them help,” he added.

BREAKING NEWS: 2ND SHIP TARGETED!!!
Greek Bulk Carrier Eternity C Attacked off Yemen: 22 Crew Onboard, 21 Filipinos; 2 Wounded, 2 Missing I MARINO PH I rbbolivar

🛑July 08,2025 - A Greek-managed, Liberia-flagged bulk carrier Eternity C, carrying 22 crew members—21 of whom are Filipino—was attacked Monday off the coast of Yemen, resulting in two crew members seriously wounded and two others missing, according to maritime authorities and the ship manager, Cosmoship Management.

🛑The attack occurred roughly 50 nautical miles southwest of the port of Hodeidah and involved sea drones and four fast-moving skiffs. Armed individuals aboard the boats launched at least four rocket-propelled grenades, striking the vessel’s bridge and damaging its communications system. The ship is now reported to be adrift, according to the European Union's Operation Aspides, which is tasked with safeguarding commercial vessels in the Red Sea.

🛑Cosmoship confirmed that three armed guards were onboard during the incident. Despite their presence, the attackers inflicted significant damage. The nationalities of the missing crew have not yet been confirmed.

🛑This incident followed hours after Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for a separate assault on the Greek-owned Magic Seas, which they alleged had sunk. That claim remains unverified, although all 19 Filipino crew members and an armed guard reportedly arrived safely in Djibouti.

🛑Filipino seafarers transiting the Red Sea are strongly advised to exercise heightened caution, follow the directives of their shipmasters and security officers, and remain alert.
