Geweldig nieuws! STAND UP van Mari Sanders beleeft de Nederlandse première op het Nederlands Film Festival - NFF én is geselecteerd voor de Gouden Kalf Competitie!

Vera (23) leidt een zorgeloos leven tot ze wordt aangereden en wakker wordt in een revalidatiecentrum: een been kwijt, in een rolstoel, volledig vervreemd van haar eigen lichaam. Ze ontmoet Xander, geboren rolstoelgebruiker en aspirant-comedian, die haar introduceert in een wereld van mensen die hun beperking met trots dragen. Gevangen tussen haar oude leven en Xanders wereld moet Vera ontdekken waar ze thuishoort.

The response in the room was overwhelming, the audience deeply moved and incredibly generous with their praise. That means the world to us.

We’re grateful that this film gets to begin its journey on stage surrounded by a community that believes in stories like this.

Unfortunately, , who plays the lead, couldn’t be with us, just like many of the incredible cast and crew who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. To everyone who fought day and night to bring this film to life: our gratitude is endless.

Vanavond om 22.10 op NPO 3: onze film PACIFICA van Jan-Willem van Ewijk () in coproductie met

Daniel maakt een roadtrip door het Amerikaanse Westen met zijn tienerdochter Artis. Ze lijken in een gouden bubbel te leven: kamperen en genieten van het landschap. Maar telkens wanneer mensen hen benaderen, rent Artis weg en gaat Daniel angstig naar haar op zoek. Terwijl ze de Great Plains oversteken en de Rocky Mountains in trekken, begint Artis steeds vaker te verdwijnen, waardoor de droomreis langzaam verandert in een nachtmerrie. ‘Pacifica.’ is een film over verlies, ontkenning en Amerika’s gecompliceerde relatie met vuurwapens. ✨

VERWEESD EIGENDOM is finished and ready to be seen.

This powerful documentary by Piet de Blaauw and Frénk van der Linden tells the long and emotional story of heirs fighting to reclaim possessions looted during WWII. At its core are the so-called ‘orphaned objects’: thousands of items still waiting to be reunited with their rightful owners. But this film goes beyond objects: it’s about identity, family history, and an unresolved past that continues to demand attention.

Darkroom is IFFR’s work-in-progress programme that takes place during CineMart. Darkroom is a platform for recently completed or nearly finished films – all supported by the Hubert Bals Fund, formerly presented at CineMart or with a Rotterdam Lab alumni attached – seeking completion funding, sales agents, and festival platforming and exposure.
