The first in-depth feature of the year is in collaboration with Geoff Wright artistically known as Presha the mind behind Samurai Music Group.

We had a deep conversation about the philosophy, people and musical worlds that shaped one of electronic music’s most distinctive labels.

For nearly two decades Samurai has cultivated a universe where atmospheric drum & bass, experimental techno and ambient explorations coexist. Through this conversation, I trace Presha’s personal and artistic journey from the early metal days in New Zealand to forming a new sonic identity in Berlin.

We reflect on community, growth, and sound as a tool for personal transformation. We explore identity, curatorship, creative integrity and renewal: times of doubt, artists, records and moments that defined the journey so far. This is more than just a label retrospective - it’s a portrait of Samurai Music as it steps into its next chapter.

Premiere: R/D/V - Vaure [ONEINST027]

Today’s premiere features Milan-based sound engineer and artist Luca Redivo () with the track “Vaure”, to be released via Berlin’s conceptual imprint One Instrument. A label dedicated to the exploration of sound through the limitation of using only a single instrument run by Grand River .aimee

Drawn entirely from the Soma Lyra-8, Vaure unfolds like a slow exhale of tension: raw, flickering, and emotionally charge evoking planetary pressure and haunting stillness in equal measure.

I spoke with Luca about the concept behind his EP Adrif, his approach to sound, and what it means to surrender to process and create music that is ‘’down to the core’’.

After two dreadful years of silence, The Netherlands is finally taking the step to open up the cultural sector. Once again, clubs will be able to open their doors and welcome all creatures of the night seeking refuge, inspiration, comfort and happiness. We all know that this scene has been through the worst compared to the rest of Europe, but now there is a hope for a new beginning!

Last year, I had the great pleasure to present one of the most dedicated and genuine collectives in the country. Despite multiple cancellations, the Embodiment team managed to keep their strong passion for the music and culture unaffected. Greatly motivated and eager they are able to finally restart their events in Rotterdam with their first one since the pandemic to be hosted at CULTUURPODIUM PERRON - EMBODIMENT.

Leading up to this explosive experience that awaits us at the end of March, I wanted to share with you their story and give you a chance to get to know the incredible team and their concept, before stepping on the dancefloor.

Take a moment and enjoy this in-depth interview I had with the co-founders Jerry Visser and Rosillon and get in the mood for a powerful start to a new era of clubbing in Rotterdam. 🖤

Based in Rotterdam, Embodiment is a rave that is fuelled by the vision of people, who are dedicated to the dance floor. A vision in which both the artist and the dancers are pushed to the very limit to create the most intense and cohesive vibe throughout.
