✈️ MCW is heading to Dubai for the ICOM General Conference 2025

Meet our colleagues Borg and Roy, at the international event for museum and heritage professionals from around the world, where they will engage in dialogue on the most pressing issues facing the museum sector.

Excited to connect with everyone, share ideas and best practices about the future of museums in rapidly changing communities. Who’s in?

We've got our very own sound studio at the office, completely soundproof. Perfect for recording voice-overs (or for a quick power nap 😉).

Let’s celebrate Museum Week! 🖼️

A perfect moment to look back at ‘Material Tales – The Life of Things’, the touring exhibition we helped bring to life for the Hong Kong Science Museum. MCW was responsible for the full suite of films, animations and interactive productions that shaped the visitor experience. And even now, the topic couldn’t be more relevant.

The exhibition follows the journey of materials: from their natural origins, through the ways humans transform them into everyday products, to the environmental cost of our overconsumption.

We're currently involved in several new museum projects, with plenty of experience behind us. Interested? Explore more on our website: www.mcw.nl.

Working on the next exhibition in Hong Kong.

We're currently testing and fine-tuning all multimedia, and we'll soon be heading to China to complete the installation. We explore topics such as sustainability, the future of transportation, smart food choices, and eco-friendly home technology.

For the new information centre Koetshuis Ockenburgh, MCW has developed an interactive map, in close collaboration with Podium. This engaging feature allows visitors to explore local landmarks and organised activities taking place in the area. In addition, several short films have been produced, which can be viewed at the centre.

The centre is the official gateway to Hollandse Duinen National Park, a unique starting point for exploring the diverse landscape. Visitors can learn about Ockenburgh’s rich history, surrounding nature reserves, as well as walking and cycling routes, and nearby hospitality venues. A digital tour is also available for those who want to explore the estate more interactively.

Open mid-April to mid-October

Jane Goodall 1934–2025
Several years ago, as part of a travelling exhibition inspired by her life’s work, we had the rare privilege of interviewing Dr Goodall. Renowned for her groundbreaking studies of wild chimpanzees and for reshaping our understanding of the bond between humans and our closest relatives, she shared with us the heart of her message.

Today, we’re grateful to continue carrying that message forward.

We brought play into the picture with an interactive game full of action and discovery at the redesigned Visitor Centre Dwingelderveld. Bursting with sights, sounds, and hands-on experiences, the centre invites visitors to see, hear, feel, and play their way through one of the wildest landscapes in the Netherlands. 🌿

Our game experience puts children (and grown-ups!) in the role of nature heroes. Through ten fast-paced mini-games, players discover how small actions can have a big impact.

🎞️ Watch the video we made for a peek inside the centre.

Together with the Children’s Brain Lab, we’ve been developing the Self-Portrait, an application for children who visit the lab. It displays their test results to involve children more closely in their own care. Since it’s important that children can easily navigate the app, it was time for a user test.

The test was done by the children from the Children’s Advisory Board at the Sophia Children’s Hospital. This group helps to think about how Erasmus MC-Sophia Kinderziekenhuis can become a more welcoming place for children. They gave us valuable feedback on what’s working well in the app and what could be improved, helping us to make the final version as effective as possible. 🧠📱

We’re proud to have contributed to doubling the information available on the websites www.ziekenhuischeck.nl and www.revalidatiecheck.nl, helping to keep high-quality healthcare information transparent and accessible to everyone.

Patients can find details such as average waiting times for surgery and patient satisfaction scores, empowering them to make informed choices about their treatment. The results of different healthcare institutions can be compared, with hospitals, UMCs, and rehabilitation centres working together to support patients with their questions.

As web developers, we built both sites and continue to ensure that all data remains accurate and up-to-date.
