Wat afschuwelijk! Typisch én echt jammerrrr 😕

De paviljoentjes aan het Stadhuisplein worden woensdag weggehaald. Volgens de Rotterdamse gemeente zijn die een doorn in het oog. Met de sloop wordt de volgende stap gezet in de renovatie van de Coolsingel.

Another very busy week! Locationscouting for 3 film / video projects last week. A bit hectic but it so nice getting out there photographing, talking to people and finding or seeing the angles directors and producers wanted in their briefing.

Cool still from a great movie! What is your favorite one-taker?

Do you recognize this still? It is a screenshot from a film made in 1948!
Have you guessed it already? … It’s Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘Rope’. A film that gives you the impression you’re watching a single take in a single set for 80 minutes. Off course there are prop men shifting furniture and getting walls out of the way for the big Technicolor camera and actors concentrated and well practised in getting on their marks. But 1 second after this still the picture goed ‘black’ for a very short while, this is because every 10 minutes the camera magazines needed changing so Hitchcock’s solution was either panning behind actors’ backs or going ‘black’ full screen.
Great pioneering film work back in the day!
