Sarod maestro Debasmita Bhattacharya, who has been playing sarod for over 33 years and performing professionally for over 15 years, presenting concerts globally as one of India’s most celebrated sarod virtuosos, is performing live in Rotterdam at the 4th Edition of Eindeloos India Festival.
Trained under her father, Sarod maestro Pandit Debasish Bhattacharya, and later under the legendary Padma Bhushan Pandit Buddhadev Dasgupta of the Senia Shahjahanpur Gharana. She has performed at the World Expo 2020 in Dubai, at the iconic Queen Elizabeth Hall in London with the renowned Aurora Orchestra, and across Sweden, Italy, France, Scotland, China, and the United States. Her music has bridged traditions, collaborating with African Kora players, Chinese Guzheng musicians, Serbian accordion artists, and more. She doesn’t just perform Indian classical music. She takes it to the world.
