We had the privilege of filming a story for about their recent improvements following the NATO Summit. The venue has done quite some upgrades in technology, comfort, and facilities which has improved their position as a home for major international events even more.

What stood out most in our conversations was how the team sees the Summit not just as a milestone, but as a catalyst. An opportunity to invest, refine, and raise the standard for everything that comes next.

In this video, Aniek explains what The Field actually is: a temporary, fully demountable site that has grown into a circular testing ground for the city of Leiden. She shows how The Field makes the “future city” tangible by demonstrating what circularity looks like in real life. From smart buildings to new energy concepts, she talks about how the site brings examples together so people can better imagine and pursue a more sustainable future.

From this week onward, we are opening up the story behind Het gebouw dat verhuisde. Het gebouw dat verhuisde started as an ambitious idea: to follow the journey of a building that refused to become waste. From its final days in Rotterdam to its new life at , the documentary captures the expertise, creativity, and persistence that made this circular transformation possible.

What began as a single premiere in Leiden has since grown into a series of intimate screenings across the country. Each one has sparked new discussions: about what circular construction means for our cities, how we design for reuse, and the people whose craftsmanship made it real.

As we count down to the public release on 15 January, we will be sharing the stories behind the project: the moments on set, the lessons learned, and the voices that shaped the narrative.

Earlier this year, we released our documentary Het gebouw dat verhuisde for the first time during a full-house cinema premiere in Leiden. The documentary tells the story of a unique circular smart building that was dismantled in Rotterdam and rebuilt at The Field in Leiden: a practical example of how circular construction can shape the future. The documentary was produced in collaboration with .

Since that first premiere, the documentary has travelled with us through several private screenings, including the most recent one on 7 October in collaboration with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency at the Maritime Museum in Amsterdam. Every screening has brought new conversations about circular design, innovation, and the people behind this project: from builders and designers to students and historians.

It has been a special journey to capture and share this story, and we are excited to share that on the 15th of January we will make the film publicly available! Until then, keep an eye on our channels for some peeks behind the scenes.

We have proudly been documenting the Just Peace Open Day for several years now, and it still is one of the most inspiring days to film in The Hague! This edition took us to the , the , the Nationaal Monument , the , the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and many other institutions that open their doors to show the work that usually happens out of sight.

You experience the city differently when you stand inside these spaces. The history becomes tangible, the mission becomes human, and the stories behind peace and justice reveal themselves in a way that only a day like this allows.

You will be part of a small team that produces videos, livestreams, and photography for international organisations and creative projects. You will learn how to plan, shoot, edit, and deliver, and you will see what real production looks like behind the scenes.

If you enjoy figuring things out, working with equipment, and developing new creative skills along the way, this internship might be a great fit.
We only offer one position each round because we prefer to focus on teaching and involving you properly.
