Games in the garden, talks in the hall, and a lot of good energy. That pretty much sums up The Hague Energized at on 4 September.

The Young Energizers, The Hague & Partners and Café Soof put on a program that mixed panels, presentations and plenty of space to meet each other. The Nutstuin turned into a playground for chats and games, while the Bankhal hosted speakers and a panel that brought everyone together.
We were there with our cameras to follow it: the garden, the Young Energizers in action, group photos, panels and the many moments in between.

On 4 September was in Delft at Vakwerkhuis to capture the Global Market Entry Program workshop.

The Global Market Entry Program by InnovationQuarter helps entrepreneurs from the Rotterdam–The Hague region prepare to take their business abroad. It gives them the chance to learn, test ideas and get the guidance they need for a successful step into new markets.

During the workshop we focused on the atmosphere in the room. Entrepreneurs were sharing experiences, exchanging ideas and learning from experts. There was a lot of energy and excitement about what is possible when you start looking beyond borders.

, and sat down to share some of the little things that make a huge difference in event photography. One of the simplest? Fill the first row.

When the front seats are empty, a photo can feel empty. But the moment you get people in those seats, whether it’s your team, speakers, or a few attendees, the whole picture changes. The room looks full, the atmosphere comes across, and the closing shots have the energy they deserve.

It doesn’t take a big crowd. Sometimes just a handful of people in the front row is all it takes to turn an “empty” shot into a strong memory of your event!

At Party4Peace we were inspired by Liliana Gaddi, a passionate advocate for human and environmental rights. shared her honest feelings about how hard it is to feel hopeful in these challenging times but she reminded us that hope grows through action.

Liliana is part of the , a youth led global movement based in The Hague working to hold states accountable for the climate crisis through international law. She explained the importance of the recent advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice, which could legally connect human rights and climate justice and require governments to act.

Liliana invited everyone to join this movement in any way they can whether by spreading the word, organizing events, or using their skills to help. The world is watching The Hague and the voices of young people are crucial to shaping a just future.

We were proud to collaborate with InnovationQuarter and the Energietransitiefonds Rotterdam (ETFR) on a video about their impact in driving Rotterdam’s energy transition.

It was really fun to film on location in Rotterdam and capture the story together with Alderman of Rotterdam Chantal Zeegers. Big thanks to Olga Golubova and the rest of the team for such a great collaboration once again!

For the second year, Ali is organising We Make The Hague, together with and of and . That means that from 11-21 September at (Noordeinde 152A), you can explore visual work from photographers, filmmakers, illustrators, designers and more. The program is filled with activities from workshops and photowalks to spoken word, coworking, and a makers market.

Last year’s edition brought together over 40 local storytellers, including from works from HPM and . This year promises to be even more vibrant, full of personal stories and fresh perspectives on life in The Hague and of course one of Ali’s photos will be on display as well as a film from HPM.

Make sure to not miss the official opening this Friday the 12th of September!

At Party4Peace, we were honored to hear from , an artist and activist from Australia who now lives in the Netherlands. Gregg uses art and storytelling to connect people and inspire action on climate justice, mental health, and systemic change.

In his speech, Gregg spoke honestly about the difficult realities we are facing: climate crisis, inequality, and rising fascism. He explained that the systems behind these problems are not broken; they are working exactly as designed, but only for a few. He reminded us that it is okay to feel angry and overwhelmed, but we must turn those feelings into a quiet revolution built on community, honesty, and hope.

Gregg’s message was a powerful invitation to come together, speak up, and rewrite the story of our future. Change starts with us.

spoke at Party4Peace with powerful words about how art is soft power. He reminds us that with power comes responsibility and the need for consistency. If we don’t write and speak up, who will represent those who cannot? Consistently amplifying hope is how we build a future worth seeing and outlast failure.
Willie invites us to take a long view and understand that social change, justice, and peace are bigger than any one person. We can only do a part of the work, planting seeds that will grow beyond us. We are not master builders or messiahs, but ministers and prophets of a future beyond our own.
For over a decade, Willie has advocated for civil, political, women’s, and disability rights through his spoken word. Using irony, metaphor, and honest reflections on life in Kenya, he performs on public buses to reach many voices. He also mentors young artists and helps build youth communities fighting inequality.

We have been working with the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) for quite some time now, and every project with them reminds us how meaningful creative work can be.

Most recently, we had the chance to produce a video that takes you inside their DNA laboratories in The Hague: six newly renovated labs where an international team of experts use science to help identify missing persons.

We have pieced together a one-minute tour with the purpose of showcasing the facilities, the quality culture, and the people dedicated to making a difference.
A huge thank you to the ICMP team for the trust and collaboration over the years.
