[PECA106] Tommie Balans - "Ontstart", the third EP out digitally March 23, 2026.

A more serious, darker EP by Tommie Balans. The book is temporarily closed. All we've received from Tommie on the deadline date is a set of five uncanny ambient tracks, and now he's going on hiatus.

"For how long will Tommie be on hiatus?", you may ask. We don't know. But what we do know, is that a set of remixes for Tommie's sophomore EP "Annie Tegenlicht" is currently still in the works. But as soon as that releases later this year, that's all there is for now from Tommie Balans.

Dankzij Petrol Candy Records' distributie verschijnt volgende week vrijdag "Melodiae Somniorum", de nieuwe single van De Tollens, op de streamingdiensten. Qua muziek doet het ons best wel een beetje denken aan onze eigen Tommie Balans, maar die kende Berend (De Tollens) nog niet totdat we hem erop wezen.

Nog even een aanvullende anekdote op de koptekst: grappig genoeg liet onze platenbaas Thor Kissing vorige week "Verharding voor de wurf" (dat is een ander nummer van De Tollens) aan onze Huub Prins horen en die moest daarbij ook meteen aan Tommie Balans denken. De link van muzikaal verwantschap tussen De Tollens en Balans had Kissing daarvoor nog niet gelegd, dus misschien vandaar dat hij nu ineens bij dit nummer ook aan Balans moest denken. Wie zal het zeggen...

RESTOCK TIME! The final copies of the initial batch of CDs of Thor Kissing's "WINDKRACHT TIEN" EP got sold on tour yesterday, and thus, we've immediately ordered new stock, completely identical to the first batch. It's available to order right now, shipping from the final week of August.
