1922-1932 Aloha was with Captain Wanderwell and 1933-1939 Aloha was on world adventures with Walt Baker. Aloha made many journeys driving and filming and giving her travel lectures Around the World starting with her Iconic #2 Model T Ford then in a 1930 Model A Ford and on to a 1935 Ford Phaeton with Walt Baker. This is one of the maps from “The Aloha Wanderwell Collection” made in 1936 that shows the unbelievable amount of miles, countries and continents, that Aloha drove from only 1922-1936. She would continue until 1939 with Walt Baker, then filming in Wyoming in 1945-46 “Explorers of the Purple Sage” and retire in 1950. In 1986 thanks to Dr Pete Lee, director of the Natural History museum in Los Angeles, Aloha came out of retirement to show her legendary film “Car and Camera” and give a very special lecture to approximately 300 invited guests, family members and friends. Aloha still holding her looks and shape, dressed in her original uniform giving her last performance, without hesitation she never missed a beat or word, like it was yesterday to tears, applause and a standing ovation of a very enthusiastic audience! Aloha Wanderwell aka Aloha W Baker was a remarkable woman who definitely had the perseverance and passion for world adventure, magic and mystery.
