There are 80,000 international residents in The Hague with the right to vote in the upcoming municipal elections. Together, we have the power to decide 8 out of the 45 seats in the Municipal Council.

Yet, many of us are either unaware of their eligibility or unclear about the voting process, how to communicate their specific concerns to the Municipal Council (also called ‘City Council’), and whom to vote for.

On 29th January, we grabbed the opportunity to be part of “Meet you city council” even organised by the !

The session was very informative and the best was to see the City hall in motion, our local leaders discussing and voting for the welfare of our city. Being in the city hall in that moment was mesmerising and we are nostalgic about it while we look forward to be part of “Welcome to The Hague” event tomorrow, again being orgaantjes by our favourite !!
