Nachtwald is an alias of Dutch cult figure Johnny Hoorneboeg. His music is a dark and experimental take on what he calls "deep-fried electro" and is heavily inspired by the DIY driven legacy of the 1990s/2000s The Hague squat scene (West Coast Sound of Holland) with artists like Legowelt, Rude66, IF etc. Since mid-2024 he has issued the Delete The Internet EP (Roulette Rekordz) and the Call Me Back EP (New York Haunted) under his project name: Nachtwald. Each balancing raw synth energy with eerie minimalism. His tracks like "Hit The Streets" have earned rotation on Dave Clarke’s White Noise and placement in underground European tip compilations.
Dutch producer Nachtwald (aka Johnny Hoorneboeg) returns with his "BioStabil 2000" EP. This six-track release explores the strange legacy of the famed BioStabil 2000 necklace, sold on Dutch teleshopping 25 years ago with claims of magnetic healing powers. Channeling the raw energy of the ’90s/’00s West Coast Sound of Holland scene, the EP traces BioStabil’s journey from miracle cure to pop-cultural myth, blurring the lines between authentic remedy and snake-oil spectacle.
