~Giocare
During a long walk, the elegant fine lines of a tennis court appeared behind some lush plants. It reminded me to make sure to never stop playing and that you can be surprised by unexpected things in life when your mind is open to receive.

You can find the art print Giocare, accompanied by some other works from the series ‘La Vita Lenta’ at this month.

On my solo travels to Southern Italy I try to live ‘the slow life’ and enjoy the small wonders of the world. Going on long walks with my camera allows me to calm my restless mind, and take in the world that unfolds in front of me. ‘La vita Lenta’ is an ongoing photography project in search of my own peace of mind and search of happiness.

Mixing a soft shade of blue for the porcelain collection in the new ceramics atelier at Gietijzerstraat.

Yesterday we said goodbye to .utrecht with the ceramics studio. I’ve been working at Vechtclub XL for around 12-13 years. The production of my sustainable leather collection moved to years ago and now the porcelain production has come to as well, at Gietijzerstraat where I’ll be working with and .

Make sure to give yourself enough room to play and create, there is only one life to live so why not live a full life?! Next to my design collection I gave room for my photography, there is still a lot to be learned in this new path but here’s a start.

Made a big batch of porcelain in the ceramics studio! Some shapes for my current collection and some new experiments with textures and coloured glazing.

Next week I will be moving together with and to the new ceramics studio of Suzan in Werkspoorkwartier. Excited to start working on some new projects there!

The dreamy sea town of Forio, a perfect setting to wander around and enjoy the sound of the sea and the breeze going through a colourful marquise at a local café….

I’m proud to be featured in the new expo à la cARTe by in Tilburg. It’s the first time a photograph from the series ‘La vita lenta’ is on display.

The photograph is part of a 3 month expo by the theme ‘Serotonine’; the hormone that we produce when we’re experiencing happy vibes. And that’s something I can relate to, when going on walks with my camera. Next to my work, you can find the works of many other local artists.

My journey to Italy has been a joy to my eyes, exploring all the two islands in the bay of Napels have to offer during my long walks.
The shapes, colours, textures and the Mediterranean light are like a dream unfolding in front of you. You just have to take the time to let it all in and capture the moments with your camera.
