Sometimes it's not the famous attractions that make you remember a place. ❤️

It's the little encounters along the way.

In Jelenia Góra 🇵🇱, a lovely girl at an ice-cream stall patiently helped us check the flavours and ingredients so we could avoid gelatin and things we don't eat. And that chocolate ice cream? HUGE, fresh and absolutely worth it. 😂🍦

Then we stopped at a little art stall. The lady didn't speak English and we didn't speak Polish, but her smile when I told her how beautiful her work was needed no translation. 🎨

And then… the cat. 🐈‍⬛😭

He seemed determined to greet everyone passing by. I miss my own cat back home in Pakistan, so when I got the chance, I grabbed this little guy for a cuddle. 😂❤️

Add the colourful buildings, peaceful streets, beautiful weather and greenery around us…

Sometimes travelling reminds you just how much beauty Allah has placed in His creation not only in places, but in people and the smallest encounters too. 🌿

What stays with you longer after a trip the places you saw or the people you met?

📍 Jelenia Góra, Poland 🇵🇱

We almost skipped this Polish city… and that would've been a mistake. 🇵🇱👀

Jelenia Góra wasn't one of the famous Polish destinations on our list.

But that's exactly what made exploring it so interesting.

Beautiful architecture, old buildings, peaceful streets and those little details that make you stop, look up and wonder about the history behind them. ❤️

Our Poland road trip is slowly teaching me something:

Sometimes the places you know the least about leave you with the most memories.

Now tell me would you explore a smaller Polish city like Jelenia Góra, or would you choose Kraków/Warsaw first? 👀

We booked our hotel in Jelenia Góra at the last minute for around €270 for 3 nights… but one of the best parts of the stay wasn't actually inside the hotel. 🇵🇱

Right nearby, we discovered Park Zdrojowy in Cieplice and what started as a simple walk turned into one of those unexpected travel discoveries. 🌳

Beautiful old architecture, monuments, greenery and that peaceful European-park feeling that makes you slow down and actually look around.

This is exactly why I love road trips. You plan the destination… and then somewhere along the way you discover places you never planned for. ❤️

Would you visit Jelenia Góra on a Poland road trip or would you skip it for the bigger Polish cities? 👀

€270 for 3 nights in Poland 🇵🇱 booked just ONE day before our trip.

We found Hotel Bella in Jelenia Góra completely last minute, and for the price, it turned out to be such a lovely find.

The rooms were clean, there was parking, a small restaurant and the coziest little garden for breakfast and rainy evenings. 🌿

But what made the stay memorable were the owners. ❤️

They were incredibly welcoming and even helped us understand ingredients when we explained that we were looking for halal-friendly food options.

Not a luxury hotel just a warm, comfortable stay with genuinely lovely people. And sometimes that's exactly what you need while travelling.
Would you pay €270 for 3 nights here?

Driving to Poland from the Netherlands?

Here's what our experience was like. 🚗🇳🇱➡️🇵🇱

We left Veldhoven at 6:35 AM and reached the Polish border around 5:30 PM, taking turns driving, stopping for fuel and short breaks along the way.

At the border, the officers politely asked for our:
✅ Passports
✅ Dutch residence permits
✅ Driving licences
✅ Car documents

After about 5 minutes, our documents were checked and we were on our way.

One thing we noticed immediately was the road sign reminding drivers to keep their headlights on at all times while driving in Poland.

We also struggled to find halal food during the journey, so if you're travelling the same route, pack some easy-to-carry food and snacks before leaving. It makes the trip much easier.

Have you ever driven from the Netherlands to Poland? What was your experience?

Save this for your next road trip! 🚗

Finding halal food in Poland wasn't as easy as we expected. 🥹

After hours of driving, we reached Jelenia Góra around 6:30 PM... tired, hungry, and hoping to find something we could eat.

Just when we were about to give up, we found Zakątek Indii, hidden inside the historic Town Hall cellars. 🇵🇱

The atmosphere felt like stepping into history while enjoying a little piece of India.

🍛 We tried:
• Paneer Tikka Masala
• Dal Makhni
• Jeera Rice
• Tandoori Naan
• Raita

Honestly... everything was delicious and exactly what we needed after a long road trip.

If you're a Muslim traveller (or simply love Indian food), this place is definitely worth adding to your list.

Have you ever struggled to find halal food while travelling?

Tell me which country was the hardest!

I never stopped living... I only stopped posting.
The last couple of months brought new responsibilities, health challenges, career changes, and a lot of moments where social media wasn't my priority.
But I also realized something.
Life doesn't have to be perfect before you share it.
So here's my comeback.
Not with perfect edits.
Not with a perfect life.
Just with honest moments, beautiful places, and the hope that maybe my journey inspires someone else to keep going too.

Welcome back to Khushi in The Netherlands... currently exploring Poland. 🇵🇱❤️
