I attend various business meetings, and increasingly, I notice that people are pushing their phones in my face instead of handing me their business cards.
QR codes have become the new way to stay in touch, even after a brief encounter. It's very environmentally friendly, except when we consider the energy consumption of charging our phones :).
If you're not quite ready to part with your traditional business cards, you can follow my example and add a to your card. But perhaps it's not the coolest and most modern approach.
But let me tell you what is really cool and modern. It is Canva's new app that turns your QR code into a work of art.
It's very straightforward to use: search for , copy the URL you want to direct people to, and type in the . The prompt is what you want Canva to generate. In my case, it's a camera icon. With a simple click, you have your modern QR code.
A tiny disclaimer: my Samsung phone couldn't read the QR code using the default camera app. I had to install a special app for reading QR codes.
Can your phone read it? Give it a try and guess what's behind this code. :)
