What’s on my mind lately…?? 🤔
Well. That’s a good question.
A whirlwind of emotions since I first came to Portugal 🇵🇹. That’s for sure.
Only 3 years ago I made my first visit to Portugal. And since then… who knows, I lost track in counting …. but for sure 30+ flights ✈️ back.
I completely fell in ❤️LOVE ❤️ with the country, the people, the culture, the food, the climate but most of all the Lusitano’s.
When I’m in Portugal, everything is more calm. No tv, no computer, no 10.000 phonecalls. Ofcourse my phone to share some stories with you 😏. But mainly it’s calm. I’m calmer, happier, less stressed. The work there for me feels completely different. My big happy zone! 🌤️
I’ve met so many incredible, sweet, amazing people over the last years. The always humble and admirable hostile Portuguese. And ofcourse all the fantastic guests from all over the 🌍world, I was allowed to take with me on my tours to Portugal.
You ever experienced feeling “homesick the other way around”??
That’s what I feel when I’m in Portugal. I never want to leave again! 😳
But then… ofcourse! There is my other normal life in Holland. With my most important people in the world, my ✨two kids 😍🥰❤️! My family and my friends. And ofcourse all the amazing horse people I worked with for so so many years…. That part also makes me truly happy and proud 🙂
It’s almost like I’m two different persons in two different lives 🙈
I think a small house for myself with my own stuff in Portugal would be a good goal for 2026. Make my own home 🏡 there. It already feels like home, i just need my own space. No more 23 kilos of luggage every time… 😅🧳🎒
I want to say OBRIGADA to all the people I’ve met in Portugal. Thank you for making me feel so welcome 🙏 . Making me feel happy. And also THANK YOU to all the people that traveled with me to this amazing country. I’ve made many new friends in this big Portuguese fairytale 🧚. So to EVERYONE involved on this big adventure in any way ….thank you with all my heart! 💜❤️🩷
And it ain’t over yet!! 🤩
