Ancient Warfare magazine

Ancient Warfare magazine Ancient Warfare is the leading magazine on the military history of the ancient world. It is published every other month and has 60 pages in full color.

Ancient Warfare is the only military history magazine to focus exclusively on warfare in the Ancient World. Every issue of Ancient Warfare is dedicated to a theme. This can be specific (e.g. campaigns and troop types), of a more general nature (e.g. arms and armour) or a concepts such as Victory and Defeat. The majority of the articles will have something to do with this overarching theme, resulti

ng in an appealing mix of items revolving around a central topic. To ensure every reader always finds something to their liking, the theme-based articles are offset by feature articles focussing on other periods, realms and battles. Examples of these features are "The Warrior", "The Battle" and "Be a general". We know that our readers have seen the usual selection of photos too often to care for them, so we commission original artwork for every issue in addition to maps and photography from our extensive collection.
