Wargames, Soldiers & Strategy - It's time to play with history! The NEW old magazine with a focus on historical wargaming.

Each issue of this bi-monthly magazine is based around a theme and contains detailed painting guides, extensive army lists, exciting battle reports and plenty of scenarios for both veteran and beginning wargamers. The magazine is 84 pages long and filled with beautiful original artwork, diagrams, maps and of course lots of mini photos!

Guy: Tick Tock! Time's running out! There's still two days before our great reveal. The hardest part was deciding a colour scheme. I opted for red and the heraldry of the Bishop of Utrecht. Final basecoats, highlights and flock to add.

Mark: I’ve got out my trusty flock box and given the bases a healthy coverage of 2mm Summer grass & some flower tufts for variation and colour. Leaving a bit of the dry earth and rocks showing through helps to break them up a bit.

Angus: Sister Mary is now complete. To get a straight line on the flock, I used a cocktail stick and slathered it with white paint and laid it across the ‘grass’. It is a much straighter line than if I tried to paint it.

The stormtroopers are now finished and I’m pleased with how they look. Now time for the medic. For this one, I’m going to take the same approach I took with Gross and lean into the fact he is also the result of genetic experimentations.

Jasper: The crew would look best on the deck planks without their bases, so I ground them off, though that did make painting them a bit more awkward. Now just to finish these, and the captain!

Joe: I’ve leant heavily into the Wolfenstein inspiration for this group. Painting black to read as different textures (armour and fabric) has been a fun challenge! I now need to tidy up the red pauldrons and move onto the metallics.
