Meirivone Rocha Moraes, a Brazilian woman who famously "married" a life-sized rag doll named Marcelo, claimed her husband had been unfaithful while she was hospitalized.

The Incident: Moraes claimed a friend saw Marcelo entering a motel with another woman while she was spent three days in the hospital caring for their "son," a smaller rag doll named Marcelinho, who was reportedly ill with a virus.
Proof of Infidelity: She alleged that she found incriminating text conversations on the doll's phone.

Aftermath: Following the discovery, she initially forced Marcelo to sleep on the sofa and described their marriage as "hanging by a thread". As a form of punishment, she reportedly "detached" his rubber appendage.

Despite further accusations of serial cheating in early 2025, she has chosen to forgive him "for the sake of their family," which has grown to include three rag doll children (including twins born in late 2023).

Moraes, who identifies as having objectophilia (romantic attraction to inanimate objects).

This is a powerful little reminder. When you look at that sentence about the boy selling food every night just to get through another day, life is nudging us toward a few truths:

Sometimes we forget how heavy other people’s burdens can be. Seeing someone so young working that hard can pull us out of our own bubble for a moment. It teaches us humility, compassion, and a bit of perspective, not in a “your problems don’t matter” way, but in a “you’re not alone in struggling” kind of way.

It also highlights resilience. That boy isn’t giving up; he’s doing what he can with what he has. There’s something quietly inspiring in that, a reminder that strength doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it’s just showing up again tomorrow.
