Help us to keep the nature clean!
During your hike to the Knivskjellodden, you can notice that there are sometimes coming marine litter to the shore.
It is a persistent problem in contemporary times, and we want to do something about it.
That is why we need your help!
On the parking place, just at the beginning of the hiking trail, we have installed garbage container that has been converted into a piece of art by the street artist Christofer "Sagie" Siwertz‑Svedjeby.
If you have a possibility and a place in your backpack, please pick up those marine litter, and deliver it to the container.
To mark your contribution for keeping the environment clean, we have prepared special certificate.
You can receive the certificate at the local tourist information (Fiskeriveien 4, 9750 Honningsvåg) during the opening hours.
Just show a picture of you delivering the garbage from the hiking trait to the container, and we will gladly issue you the certificate.
Thank you for contribution!
This project has been made possible thanks to the cooperation between Visit Nordkapp, Hurtigruten Foundation, Miljødirektoratet, Nordkapp kommune and Arctic Lux.
The artwork on the container is made by: Christofer Sagie Siwertz-Svedjeby
