It is a profound honour to announce that Atlas of Disappearance will be competing in both the F:ACT and HUMAN:RIGHTS sections of this year's CPH:DOX. The project traces 80 years of silence, using forensic and digital technologies to uncover the fate of those who were secretly transferred to El Valle de los Caídos.
This is a story of restitution—of families who never gave up—and how cinema and technology can help restore the memory that repression attempted to erase.
The project has been an enormous undertaking involving so many talented and deeply committed people. Thank you to everyone who has supported it during the 8 years it has been in development, and thank you to the festival for believing in the film. We are now counting down the days to the premiere!
