Deep beneath the icy North Atlantic, an ancient Greenland shark is still alive—believed to be nearly 400 years old!
She was already swimming in the 1600s, long before cars, electricity, or even phones existed. While empires rose and fell and technology transformed the world above, she glided silently in the deep, untouched by time.
Greenland sharks are the longest-living vertebrates on Earth, with lifespans stretching across centuries. Imagine one life spanning the invention of the telescope, the Industrial Revolution, airplanes, space travel, and even the internet.
Four centuries later… she’s still here. Still moving. Still surviving. 🌊🐋
