In February 2020, ten bachelor students in TV production at Media City Bergen worked intensively on a new project. On January 19, ViSmedia and NCE Media invite you to experience the risks and opportunities of emerging visual technologies in the news media. The conference will provide future scenarios on satellites and climate surveillance from above, and on virtual reality and experimental student learning. New ways for technical experts to mitigate deepfakes will be envisioned as well. Each session will be introduced by scenario student videos, and followed up by short interactive panel discussions with leading researchers and media professionals. Conference host is professor Øyvind Vågnes and the panels are moderated by the power journalist and editor Hilde Sandvik.

The conference is free and open to anyone, and will be live-streamed directly from the Bergen University Aula
