Being rich sucks…
But being wealthy? Let me tell ya about that!
Now here’s the question:
Is there a difference?
And if so, what is it?
Here’s my take…
Yes, there’s absolutely a difference.
Rich is defined as materialistic and money driven. Often times, being rich means you have an abundance of money and all of the materialistic things you want.
Wealth, that’s defined as having everything in life you need. More so, resources. Things such as having a healthy family to create memories and things of that nature.
Now, I know these aren’t the “by the book” definitions but they are definitive in the way you live and work towards them.
At one point in my life, I thought I wanted to be rich. Chase that dream. Get rich or die trying.
But… along the way, I met people and had experiences.
Through this, I learned that rich was this hyped up thing that left you feeling different.
Not good. Not bad. But different.
Most people I met that were “rich” felt lonely, often times feeling used.
But the people I met that weren’t rich in money, were wealthy in life.
The wealth came in different ways.
For some, it was travel.
For others, it was building a family.
But for all of them, the wealth wasn’t based around money. It was based on them fulfilling their life’s wishes.
Money helped and helps achieve that wealth but that’s not what they based life on.
If we all start realizing this, and quit basing our life around money;
We will all be happier.
Let’s get wealthy together and live a prosperous life.
Happy Thursday!
