Setting up your travel hacking wallet can be intimidating because there are so many options out there. While there’s no perfect formula for the best travel hacking wallet (it depends on your goals and spending habits)- there are a few simple rules to follow.

We don’t do a lot of brand loyalty around here because things can change in an instant (looking at you Southwest!) and we’d prefer to be flexible, but that works really well for some! We also prefer Capital One to Chase where most people set their whole strategy around Chase. You gotta find what works for you!

Paris for $350 and Portugal for $420 (both for Christmas) and Greece for $450 (during peak summer travel). Just the other day I saw a one day to London for $59!! Yes, really.

With prices like that, you don’t need credit card points!

Comment “cheapflights” to get our detailed step by step guide and podcast episode all about how we make those flight alerts work for us!

A bucket list item finally realized- the Harry Potter Studio tour in London! This was part of our Spring Break trip that we bought on points and got to bring my dad on his first ever Europe trip!

We paid only $150 a piece for the plane tickets (and 40,000 points) so it left us plenty of money to splurge on things like this!

We’re talking about all our 2023 travels in this week’s podcast.

Have you ever stumbled into a Michelin restaurant? Honestly so many things close in Spain during the early afternoon, we were so happy to find anything open for a late lunch. They only had seats at the bar, which was fine with us. We quickly ordered a glass of wine and an appetizer (they told us the main dining was closing, which was fine with us- we just needed a pick me up to make it until dinner!). When I tell you that was the best app I’ve ever had, I mean it. Even though we only came in for a drink and appetizer, we had to try the dessert and it didn’t disappoint either. We walked out and couldn’t stop talking about how amazing this food was and it wasn’t until I bumped my shoulder on the Michelin plaque on the wall that we realized we weren’t the only ones who thought so.

This was one of my favorite parts about Vigo- everything was so well priced, even stumbling into a Michilin restaurant didn’t break the bank (I’m talking a $14 app and $12 glass of wine- which you get in an average restaurant here in CT).

We give all the details about our Christmas in Portugal and Spain in the podcast this week!
