TSCHAIKOWSKY & KANN: pre-order for debut album A New Way to Life starts today / two new songs, “Blaue Stunde” and “I Knew It Would Be A Mistake But I Did It Anyway” out now

Vesperian is pleased to announce that the pre-order for Tschaikowsky & Kann's debut album, A New Way To Life, opens today. To mark the occasion, the duo also releases two new, standalone songs, "Blaue Stunde" and "I Knew It Would Be A Mistake But I Did It Anyway", available now on all digital platforms.
Following their acclaimed maxi single I Thought This Was Going To Be My Year, Niklas Tschaikowsky (guitars) and Leonhard Kann (synthesiser, drum computer, field recordings) continue to chart their own course through electro-acoustic terrain, where guitar lines and analogue synth textures fold into one another, and tape hum and outdoor field recordings blur the line between studio and landscape.
That approach has already won Tschaikowsky & Kann admirers well beyond their home scene.

Paul Riedl of Blood Incantation described their sound as:
"Amazing & pastoral electro-acoustic synthesis as only barefooted Germans can do, with the added bonus of natural soundscape textures via field recordings and the wonderful hum of analog tape. Colorado's Dreadnought release their album Wars of Spirit // Wards of Light, via Vesperian today.

Where previous records unfolded across vast, demanding terrain, Wars of Spirit // Wards of Light finds DREADNOUGHT at their most focused — sharper, more immediate, yet no less singular. The band's genre-defying fusion of progressive metal, folk, and atmospheric exploration arrives with a new directness, without surrendering any of their characteristic unpredictability. Cover art by Eisner Award-winning artist Christian Ward, whose psychedelic, neon-charged visual language feels like the only adequate counterpart to the music. Mixed by Julius Mauranen (Oranssi Pazuzu) and mastered by Jaakko Viitalähde (Oranssi Pazuzu, Havukruunu, Polymoon).

Vesperian is pleased to welcome THE MOSAIC WINDOW, the Black Metal project of Andrew Steven Brown, to the roster.

On the band's next album, Answered Prayers — out November 13, 2026 — Brown pulls back from the more polished, prog-tinged death/black hybrid of 2024's Hemasanctum and returns to the band’s original core: first and second wave black metal, filtered through atmospheric rasps of despair and phantasmal, buried death growls. Across ten tracks, its nihilistic concept unfolds — humanity erased retroactively, centuries before the Industrial Revolution, as the only cure for a poisoned world.

Alongside the announcement, the band share the album's first single, "What Sage Could Not Cleanse". An older composition, it anchors Answered Prayers' back-to-roots direction: raw, stripped of any polish, a statement of intent — no ritual can purify what's already beyond saving.

Vesperian is proud to open the pre-order for WAYFARER’s forthcoming album, Riders of the Setting Sun.

Riders of the Setting Sun will be available as Digipak CD, Tape, and Vinyl LP, the latter featuring a dedicated LP booklet and OBI strip.

With Riders of the Setting Sun, WAYFARER also step onto new ground. Produced for the first time by Ben Chisholm (Chelsea Wolfe), with James Barone (Beach House) and Iver Sandøy (Enslaved) behind the recording and mix, the album folds threads of post-punk, American folk, and rock and roll into the sound the band has spent a decade building — a quiet but deliberate step beyond the extreme metal scene that first defined them.

The album's artwork was created by the celebrated artist Tony Stella, renowned for his work within the film poster world. Stella's cover for Riders of the Setting Sun numbers among his final works before his passing earlier this year — WAYFARER and Vesperian are honored to have collaborated with him.

Today Wayfarer reveals the artwork of their forthcoming album, "Riders of the Setting Sun". The artwork was done by the highly renowned artist Tony Stella, known for his exceptional work within the film scene. Stella's artwork was one of his final works, before he sadly passed away earlier this year. Band and label are grateful for having had the opportunity to work with him. Rest in peace.

"I Thought This Was Going To Be My Year" by .kann is out now and available across all streaming platforms.

The Berlin-based duo’s three-track EP moves through ambient, Krautrock and kosmische Musik in equal measure — meditative and slow-burning, with a dreamlike, introspective pull that rewards deep listening.

The B-side holds two pieces, “Slow Morning” and “Slow Evening”, available on vinyl only on the maxi-single. All three tracks are entirely instrumental.

The limited 12" maxi-single is available on clear/light-blue vinyl, with 300 copies worldwide, and will not be repressed in this configuration.
