🎙️ This past week, we’ve been deep in the field doing sound recordings for our upcoming VR documentary Finding Frida. We’re exploring the immersive power of spatial sound, not just as a technical layer, but as an emotional engine for storytelling. In VR, sound doesn’t just support the story, it becomes the story. To get it right, we’re capturing audio as authentically as possible, and we’re incredibly fortunate to work with the brilliant , a multi-award-winning sound designer whose passion for spatial audio is second to none. Tusen takk til Norsk filminstitutt for produksjonsstøtte til VR-dokumentaren Finding Frida!! Regissør er Hilde Kjøs Manus ved Cecilie Levy.
– Dokumentarfeltet er i utvikling, og i NFI kan vi bidra til nyskaping gjennom tildelinger til prosjekter som utfordrer grensene. I min første tildelingsrunde som konsulent har jeg hatt gleden av å gi produksjonstilskudd til det spennende prosjektet Finding Frida, der dokumentarfilm og vr-teknologi møtes, sier filmkonsulent Charlotte Røhder Tvedt, som tiltrådte som ny dokumentarkonsulent i NFI ved årsskiftet.
Norsk filminstitutt (NFI) har tildelt 5.730.000 kroner i produksjonstilskudd til dokumentarfilm etter kunstnerisk vurdering, i vedtaksmøte denne uka.

It’s always a great to hand over a project like this! We’ve delivered immersive content designed for both immersive rooms and VR headsets, along with a custom controller app that synchronizes multiple devices for seamless VR cinema-style screenings.

Thrilled to share that we’ve won Best VR Film at the VRINN VR Awards for our work on Trafoen, a 360-degree traffic safety experience created together with .studios ! 🏆 This project is deeply meaningful to us, designed to guide participants—especially young people—in reflecting on their own risk-taking on the road. Trafoen takes participants through five immersive rooms, allowing them to experience the impact of a traffic accident in a visceral way. Trafoen has expanded, and we’re now building a class set of VR headsets with a control unit that allows for synchronized viewings followed by group reflection.
A huge thank you to our incredible team and partners who made this possible. This award is a testament to the hard work and shared mission to make roads safer for everyone. Here’s to more immersive stories with purpose! 🚀

«Before the sun disappears again» is an immersive theater experience consisting of an art installation, film, and interactive VR. The story is set in a dreamlike and surreal world. The starting point is «Lucid dreams,» where one is aware of dreaming and simultaneously has the ability to influence the circumstances around them. The overarching narrative of the project revolves around universal human experiences such as justice and the individual’s place in the community. #360
