Luxury isnât always loud â sometimes, itâs the quiet things that saved you.âď¸
Iâve learned that true luxury has little to do with wealth â and everything to do with healing, belonging, and peace.
1ď¸âŁ The luxury of safety.
Growing up, safety was never promised â now, waking up without fear is something Iâll never take for granted.
2ď¸âŁ The luxury of family nearby.
Even if theyâre just voices in the background â that warmth, that laughter, that familiar chaos reminds me who I am.
3ď¸âŁ The luxury of being seen.
Living in Norway as a minority means often being misunderstood. But every time someone truly listens, it feels like sunlight on cold skin.
4ď¸âŁ The luxury of rest.
My parents worked so I could breathe easier. Rest isnât laziness , itâs reclaiming what generations before us couldnât have.
5ď¸âŁ The luxury of joy.
Picking cherries, smiling, laughing, hanging by the tree â things I once felt guilty for. Joy, Iâve learned, is resistance too. đ
6ď¸âŁ The luxury of belonging to myself.
I no longer need to fit in everywhere. I just need to feel at home within me.
Because sometimes, the richest thing you can do â is to live softly in a world that once told you to be hard.
đŹ Whatâs one âluxuryâ youâve learned to cherish lately? Iâd love to hear your list too.
